SleepVector ("we", "our", or "us") built the SleepVector app as a free app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.
SleepVector requests access to your device's location to determine the local geomagnetic field strength and declination at your position. This data is used solely to calculate the recommended sleep direction (e.g., north-aligned) according to geomagnetic principles. Location data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
The app reads your device's magnetometer and accelerometer to display a real-time compass heading. Sensor data is processed entirely on-device and is not stored or shared.
SleepVector uses your device camera to provide an augmented reality overlay showing compass directions in your room, helping you visualise ideal bed placement. Camera frames are processed locally in real time and are never saved, uploaded, or shared.
Any preferences or settings you configure within the app (e.g., saved bed placement) are stored locally on your device using SQLite. No data is sent to external servers.
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash reporting services that collect personal data.
SleepVector is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
