Sleep Tunes ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Sleep Tunes mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information When you create an account, we may collect your email address, display name, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email, name, and profile picture from Google's authentication service.
1.2 Usage Data We automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, including: play history (tracks played and duration), favorite tracks and playlists, app preferences (language settings, sleep timer configurations), and device information (device model, operating system version).
1.3 Audio Files If you choose to import local audio files, we access only the files you explicitly select. We do not scan your device storage without your permission. Imported files remain on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
1.4 Subscription & Purchase Data When you subscribe through Google Play, your purchase is processed entirely by Google. We do not collect or store your payment information (such as credit card numbers). We only receive your subscription status and product ID from Google Play to determine your access level.
1.5 Feedback Content When you submit feedback through the App, the text content you provide is sent to our server and associated with your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (music playback, playlists, favorites)
Personalize your experience (daily recommendations, sleep timer preferences)
Sync your data across sessions (play history, favorites, playlists)
Improve our services and develop new features
Communicate with you about updates or changes to the App
3. Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission. Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device and are never shared with third parties. We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
4. Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services:
Google Sign-In — for authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
Google Play Billing — for subscription management (subject to Google's Terms of Service)
Tencent Cloud COS — for audio file hosting and delivery
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your personal data stored in the App
Update or correct your account information
Delete your account and all associated data
Opt out of non-essential data collection
6. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data (including play history, favorites, playlists, and feedback) at any time by emailing us at sleeptunes17@gmail.com. Please include the email address associated with your account. We will process your deletion request within 30 days. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes. We may disclose your information if required by law.
9. Cookies & Local Storage
The App uses local storage (Hive database) on your device to store preferences, authentication tokens, and cached data. This data is stored locally and is not transmitted to external servers except as described in this policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App.
