SleepRing — Privacy Policy

SleepRing ("the app", "we", "us") is developed and published by Beamix Apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using SleepRing, you agree to the practices described here.
Summary
SleepRing is designed to work almost entirely on your device. We do not run any servers, and we do not collect, upload, or sell your personal data. The only data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads in the free version, and what Google Play processes if you make a purchase. Both are explained below.
Information the app uses
Contacts. With your permission, SleepRing reads your device contacts so you can choose which people are your VIP (priority) callers, and so it can recognise those callers while Sleep Mode is active. Your contacts are processed only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Phone state. With your permission, SleepRing detects incoming calls so it can apply your Sleep Mode settings. It uses only the call state; on some Android versions it may also see the incoming number to identify VIP callers, but this is processed only on your device. SleepRing does not read your call history or call log, and does not request that permission.
App settings and lists. Your VIP list, sleep schedules, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
What the app does not do. SleepRing does not record audio, does not read your messages, does not read your call log, does not track your location, and does not upload your contacts or personal data to any server.
Do Not Disturb and permissions
To silence non-VIP calls during your chosen hours, SleepRing uses Android's Do Not Disturb feature, which requires Notification Policy Access. It may also ask for permission to schedule exact alarms (so scheduled sleep times start and end on time) and to be exempt from battery optimisation (so it works reliably overnight). These permissions are used only for the features described and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Advertising (free version)
The free version of SleepRing displays ads through Google AdMob. To provide these ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and app usage data. This collection is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can limit ad personalisation in your device settings under Google > Ads. Upgrading to SleepRing Pro removes ads.
Purchases
SleepRing Pro is offered through Google Play's billing system. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play. SleepRing does not receive or store your payment card details.
Children
SleepRing is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data security and retention
Because your VIP list, schedules, and settings are stored only on your device, their security is tied to your device's own protections. This data is retained until you delete it within the app or uninstall SleepRing.
Your choices
You can revoke the Contacts, Phone, or Do Not Disturb permissions at any time in your device settings, remove any VIP contact within the app, and reset ad personalisation through your Google account settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
