1. Introduction
Buck Studio ("we", "us", "our") operates the Sleep & Relax Sound mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service. By installing or using the app, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
You are not required to create an account or provide personal details such as name, email, or phone number to use the app. Custom sound mixes, bedtime-reminder schedules, and audio settings you create are stored only on your device.
When you use the app, the following information may be collected automatically by us or by our third-party SDKs:
Device information (device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, system language, time zone, screen size, and unique identifiers such as Android ID and Firebase Installation ID).
Advertising Identifier (AAID) — a resettable, non-permanent ID provided by Google Play services and used to deliver and measure ads.
Approximate location derived from IP address only. We do not request GPS or precise-location permission.
Network state — whether the device has an active internet or Wi-Fi connection.
Usage and event data — screens visited, sounds played, mix-save events, ad-interaction events (impressions, clicks, dismissals), session duration, and crash diagnostics.
Push-notification token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver optional notifications.
Install Referrer — Google Play install-attribution data.
3. Permissions Used and Why
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE — to check connectivity, load ads, and fetch Firebase Remote Config.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — to keep sleep sounds playing reliably while the app is in the background or the screen is off.
WAKE_LOCK — to prevent the CPU from sleeping during audio playback so sound is not interrupted.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — to show playback controls, bedtime reminders, and optional push notifications.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to re-schedule your bedtime reminders after a device restart.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — to allow the Google Mobile Ads SDK to read the Advertising ID for ad personalization and frequency capping.
BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE — to allow Google Play to provide install-attribution data.
We do not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, photos, files, calendar, location, or call/SMS data.

These services may collect data such as IP address, device identifiers, advertising ID, app-usage events, and crash logs, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. How We Use the Information
We use the information collected to:
Play, mix, and time sleep sounds correctly on your device.
Deliver and personalize advertising, including frequency capping so you do not see the same ad too often.
Diagnose crashes and improve app stability.
Understand which features are used so we can prioritize improvements.
Deliver bedtime-reminder notifications you have configured.
Remotely enable, disable, or tune ad placements without requiring an app update (Firebase Remote Config).
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Advertising and Personalized Ads
The app displays the following ad formats, provided by Google AdMob:
Banner ads (adaptive, optionally collapsible) on multiple screens.
Native ads on the introduction screen.
Interstitial ads (full-screen) shown between certain transitions.
App-open ads when you re-enter the app.
Ads may be personalized using your Advertising ID. You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time from Android Settings → Google → Ads (options include Reset advertising ID, Delete advertising ID, and Opt out of Ads Personalization).
Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and UK), Google's Consent Management Platform will request your consent before personalized ads are shown.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at buckstudio.store@gmail.com so that we can remove it.
8. Data Retention and Local Storage
Custom mixes, bedtime reminders, and preferences are stored locally on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. Data sent to third-party SDKs is retained according to their respective policies.
9. Data Security
We rely on industry-standard mechanisms — HTTPS for network communication, Google's secure Firebase infrastructure, and signature-protected internal broadcasts — to protect data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. External Links
The app may contain links to external websites (for example, this Privacy Policy page, AdMob ads, and store listings). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Please review their own policies before providing any information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or on this page. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
