App Preferences

Your settings and preferences (such as language selection and UI preferences) are stored locally to personalize your experience.

Your Local Data, Your Control: All locally stored data can be deleted at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

Opt Out of Personalized Ads

You can opt out of personalized advertising:

- On Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

- On iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

Note: Opting out does not mean you won't see ads; you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.

Reset Advertising Identifier

You can also reset your advertising identifier at any time through your device settings, which will disassociate your device from previously collected ad-related data.

App Permissions

Sleeping Sounds requires certain permissions to function properly:

Background Audio

Allows sounds to continue playing when the app is minimized or your screen is off, essential for sleep and relaxation use.

Notifications

Used to display media playback controls in your notification shade, letting you pause, play, or stop sounds without opening the app.

Microphone (Optional)

Only requested if you choose to record custom sounds. Audio recordings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or transmitted.

Storage (Optional)

Only requested if you choose to import custom sound files from your device. We only access files you explicitly select.

Keep Screen Awake

Prevents your device from sleeping during playback if you choose to keep the screen on.

Internet Access

Required to load and display advertisements from Google AdMob.

Children's Privacy

Sleeping Sounds is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The advertisements shown in the app are configured to comply with applicable regulations regarding children's privacy.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Data Security

Your locally stored data (presets, custom sounds, preferences) is protected by your device's built-in security features including screen lock and encryption.
