Sleep Guard primarily operates locally on your device to provide its core functionality, such as setting sleep timers and activating screen locks using Android's DevicePolicyManager. The App does not collect personal data like your name, email, or location. However, we use Google AdMob and Start.io to display advertisements, which may collect the following data:
Advertising ID: A unique identifier provided by your device, used by Google AdMob and Start.io to deliver personalized advertisements and perform analytics to improve ad relevance.
App Activity: Information about your interactions with ads (e.g., ad impressions, clicks, or views) may be collected by AdMob and Start.io for analytics and ad optimization purposes.
Device Information: General device data (e.g., device model, operating system version, or screen resolution) may be collected by AdMob and Start.io to optimize ad delivery.
No other personal data is collected or stored by Sleep Guard itself.
To provide its functionality and deliver ads, Sleep Guard requires the following permissions:
Device Administrator Permission: Used to lock the device screen when the sleep timer ends, helping you maintain healthy sleep habits.
Background Activity: Used to run timers and schedule tasks via Android's WorkManager, ensuring the App works reliably even when not actively in use.
Advertising ID Permission: Used by Google AdMob and Start.io to access the Advertising ID for delivering personalized ads. This permission is required for devices running Android 13 or later.
These permissions are used solely for the App’s intended functionality and ad delivery.
Sleep Guard does not share any personal data with third parties, except for the data collected by Google AdMob and Start.io for advertising purposes. Any temporary data generated by Sleep Guard (e.g., timer settings) is stored securely on your device and is not accessible to us. Data collected by Google AdMob and Start.io (e.g., Advertising ID or ad interactions) is handled in accordance with their respective privacy and security standards, as outlined in their privacy policies.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect any local data stored by the App. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sleep Guard is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The App complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Both Google AdMob and Start.io provide options for child-directed ad serving, and we have configured the App to serve non-personalized ads where required for child-directed settings.
