SleepCBT ("we", "our", or "the app") is a sleep and relaxation app that offers calming sounds, a five-week CBT-I educational program, and Luna, an AI sleep companion. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
SleepCBT does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information.
On-device data. Your preferences (such as volume level and subscription status cache) are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us.
Chat messages with Luna. When you chat with Luna, the text of your messages is sent to OpenAI's API to generate a reply. These messages are processed under OpenAI's privacy policy (https://openai.com/privacy). We do not store your conversations on any server of our own, and messages are not used to identify you.
Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple provides us only anonymous transaction records needed to unlock premium features.
To generate Luna's replies to your messages.
To remember your in-app preferences on your device.
To verify your premium subscription status through Apple.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics.
Apple App Store: handles all payments, subscriptions, and refunds (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy).
OpenAI: processes chat messages to generate Luna's responses (https://openai.com/privacy).
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes all locally stored information. Chat messages sent to OpenAI are retained according to OpenAI's data retention policies.

SleepCBT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
