Bringing carbon market revenue to small landowners in East Texas.
Access to the carbon market can have many benefits for landowners and the land they steward. However, for most small-tract landowners, this opportunity has not yet been realized. The goal of this project is to promote land retention for small landowners, particularly Black landowners and other landowners of color, in East Texas by facilitating pathways to access the voluntary carbon market and associated revenues. To do this, we're creating a cooperative of landowners who can leverage their combined resources to reduce barriers to market participation.
