Located in Sucha, often named a "ghost fortress", Czocha Castle is home to a multitude of ghosts. According to legend, the oldest ghost inhabitant of the castle is the "White Lady". (1) The spirit of Gertrude, a late inhabitant of the castle, took her revenge on her brother after an argument by setting Hussites upon him. The Hussites did not conquer Czocha castle, and as a reprecussion of their failure, Gertude's brother labelled her a traitor and had her executed. The castle now is home to a Polish "Hogwarts" a program within which Polish schools participate, and where everyone can spend a night to see whether they can catch sight of the famous White Lady.
