Dr. Aleksandar Mudri (University of Novi Sad)
Aleksandar Mudri is an Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia where he obtained both his master’s and PhD degrees. From 2015 to 2023, he advanced through the academic ranks, moving from a teaching assistant position to that of an assistant professor. He teaches several subjects in the field of Linguistics at the Department of Ruthenian Studies, Faculty of Philosophy. His main expertise is in the Vojvodinian Ruthenian language which he approaches from the standpoint of Cognitive Linguistics. He is also interested in the linguistic picture of the world, linguistic minority rights, linguistic landscape, and contrastive analysis. He has previously published around 50 scholarly articles on different aspects of the Ruthenian language in Vojvodina. In addition, he translated from Serbian, Ukrainian and Polish to Ruthenian language. Dr. Mudri received the CERM 2023 Prize for the best doctoral thesis on topics related to minorities in 2024.
