Travel Logistics

Air arrivals:

Most participants will be arriving at the Sacramento International Airport, which is about 20 minutes from UC Davis. You should be able to take a Lyft, Uber, or taxi directly to the Aggie Inn, 245 1st St, Davis, CA 95616. Your reservations (if you have made one) should be on file.

Train arrivals:

The train station in downtown Davis is only a 9 min walk (or 3 min car ride) from the Aggie Inn. You simply turn left out of the train station and walk down G St, which turns into 1st St, on which the hotel is located. Davis runs in a grid of ascending numbers from south to north and sequential letters from west to east.

Car Arrivals

For those arriving by car, there is parking at the hotel. The campus parking lots are just as close as the hotel, so there will not be a need for temporary parking permits.

If you are arriving by car but not staying in Davis, please let me know so that I can inquire about parking permits. UC Davis now has subcontracted the parking lots to a third-party vendor, so you will need to download an app (available via QR codes in the parking lots) in order to pay.

Conference Location:

The conference will be held at the Student Community Center, Multipurpose Room (second floor). It can be found just across campus, down 1st St and one street to the south (see map).

The Classics department is on the 7th floor of Sproul Hall, which you are welcome to check out, although all proceedings will take place at the SCC.
