Vision and Philosophy
I build my art upon exploring the silent stories hidden behind traditional motifs and reimagining them through the dynamic language of animation. To me, a character or a setting is more than just a visual element; it is a symbol of patience, sleepless nights, and profound dedication. In my narratives, I focus on the sanctity of labor and the arduous yet magical journey an individual undertakes to reach a cherished ideal.
Silkworm and the Creative Process
My current project, Silkworm, is the quintessential embodiment of this vision. Through the story of a young silk weaver striving to finish a gift for a traveling bard, I depict the artist’s own immersion in the creative process and the internal battles fought within the intricate patterns of the craft. By blending the fluidity of 2D animation with the texture of silk and the melancholic 'ozan' (bard) culture of Anatolia, I offer the audience a universal story of 'the quest.' In every stage from storyboarding to final design, I weave each frame with the same meticulous precision as a weaver tying knots in a silk carpet.
Technical and Professional Objective
I harmonize traditional aesthetics with modern digital techniques, prioritizing atmospheric depth and symbolism. My goal is to create visions that are not only visually engaging but also soulfully rooted in cultural heritage. With this discipline, I am focused on transforming visual storytelling into a craft of fine artistry within global projects
