This is a free conference for MA and PhD students to present their work, get feedback and generate ideas.
Where: Queen Mary University of London, on the Mile End Campus, E1 4NS
When: Friday the 11th of September 2026 from 09:00 - 17:00.
Access: There is step-free access to campus and the conference building, with elevator access to the presentation room.
Accommodation: London offers a wide range of private accommodation options for visitors. Locations in East and Central London will likely have the most convenient transport links to Queen Mary, while locations further afield in North, West and South London may have longer journey times and more interchanges. However it is worth checking routes and times on CityMapper or Google Maps when choosing, as specific locations may vary.
Getting to the venue: The nearest tube stations are
Mile End (Central, District, and Hammersmith & City Lines)
Stepney Green (District and Hammersmith & City Lines)
The campus is also served by multiple bus routes.
Mile End and Stepney Green stations do not have step-free access. However, Whitechapel station, also nearby, has step-free access and passengers can change to a bus to reach campus.
Lunch will be provided during the day.
Après-SLAGS: There will be a post-conference dinner in a nearby restaurant, where presenters' food will be paid for (drink will be at own expense). This will be followed by more socialising at a nearby pub.
