The Amalfi Foundation is on a mission to elevate underserved communities at home and abroad.
Working relentlessly to solve these problems, our focus is always at getting down to the underlying problem of people’s situations. While we partner with various organizations that aim to alleviate situations, we aim to tackle the main challenge of solving the underlying situation at the root of the problem rather than provide temporary assistance.
We do this through two primary pillars - basic needs and community development.
addressing the basic needs of our community are met across health, hunger, housing, and security.
elevating our community through opportunity, whether through education, scholarships, or any other opportunity that helps underserved individuals to advance and thrive in life.
The homelessness problem has gotten out of hand.
The current methods of solving the homelessness crisis in California have consistently failed. It’s time for a more proactive and 1:1 approach. Through our LCDI Program, we receive recommendations from local homeless shelters for our 6-month program. Each Candidate is paired with an AF Case Manager, Financial Consultant, and Career Advisor to review their 6-month and long term goals.
Providing the 1:1 mentorship and opportunity for a self-sufficient and successful future.
Through our intensive 6-month program, we cover all expenses for the duration of the program while assisting our Candidates in applying to higher paying jobs and creating a stable budget in order to secure a long term self-sufficient future.
We aim to get to the root of the problem as opposed to temporarily relief.
In Tanzania, school is more than a building.
School is where students seek shelter. Where they get possibly their only meal of the day. Where they learn, grow, and socialize. We recognize the impact of education goes further in an underserved community outside Arusha.
In Tanzania, only 58% of the country's students complete primary school, and only 28% complete secondary school (Tanzania Education Corp).
The Amalfi Foundation is building a primary school from the ground up to lift an entire Tanzanian community out of an “educational desert,” shifting and progressing the lives of hundreds of citizens. We are excited to break ground in Winter of 2024.
We recognize our humble beginnings as a charity and pride ourselves on our ability to execute promptly when the need arises. We always have capital ready to deploy for any initiative across our two main pillars. When someone in need requests assistance, our team quickly gets to work, analyzing the capital necessary to solve the problem. Once the impact is clear, we work diligently to provide support while ensuring we are present and hands-on with the initiative.
Identify The Need
At the beginning of every initiative is the immediate need. Our team is available 24/7, working in line with other organizations to identify needs within our community and abroad that align with our core mission. Once the need is realized, we work rapidly begin to analyze how we can help alleviate or solve the problem directly.
Review The Impact
Our team is driven by our ability to help those locally both quickly and efficiently. With every plan and proposal that we review or execute, we ensure that the impact of our help is significant, permanent, and obtainable. We don't work on projects that merely solve the problem temporarily. We aim to reach much larger goals that carry a long-lasting impact.
Launch Hands-On Initiative
Once we've confirmed that the impact is significant, permanent, and obtainable, we get to work. Our team prepares our impact strategy plan internally which requires a sign-off by both the Board and the Managing Director. We prepare our capital and dispatch members of our team so they are on-the-ground to help carry out our vision directly. The tried and true way we ensure our project is handled the way we intend is to be present onsite until completion.
