Step 1

Step 1 shows twelve team WSC staff members' images that can be found at scholarscup.org/team. Specifically, Daniel, Painted Warrior, Rosie, Naho, Timothy, Lexi, KK, Minami, Sally, Vishal, Arsh, and Joga. 8 of these people (Daniel, Painted Warrior, Naho, Timothy, KK, Minami, Sally and Vishal) have text in drop downs attached to their panel. Each of the texts hint to a number, which combine to the correct 8-digit code.

Highlighting some text in the dropdown of "Step 1" reveals the text "order from top to bottom". This refers to the order of the staff member on the scholarscup.org/team page. In order from top to bottom, here are all the answers to each member:

Step 4

Step 4 is a discord server with many messages with reaction roles attached, which when added will unlonk private channels associated with each role, with each role being a country.

The first message displays US, CA, CN, IN, and ID, with each having their own reaction roles within each of their private channels:

Step 5

Step 5 is a lengthy text written predominantly by ChatGPT (although Ryln wrote the first 6 paragraphs). It details some over-dramatized look on history and historical accuracy while at the end discussing how it betters modern society into progression. The content of this text is irrelevant to the actual solution.

The way to solve this step is to take the first letter of every sentence and combine the letters in the same paragraph into a word. This yields: "APPEND THE SURNAME OF THE YOUNGEST INAUGURATED UNITED STATES PRESIDENT WITH THE LARGEST CITY IN KANSAS". Step 6

Step 6 is an html file that if downloaded is a playable scratch game. You control a character and can roam around a series of connected scenes. There are 9 scenes, and each has a grey box and a few letters scattered around.

Step 7 is a google doc displaying a series of 21 "equations". The method to solve this is to convert these equations into hockey players.
