Our main pool rules are listed here. If you have any questions this does not answer, please ask a lifeguard. We are happy to explain rules.

All swimmers and patrons must follow posted pool rules and instructions from lifeguards or staff at all times.

The use of pool equipment is subject to Red Cross & Utah State safety standards as well as staff discretion.

The Sky View High School Pool reserves the right to revoke access or remove patrons who violate rules or create unsafe conditions, without refund.

Rules are in place to protect all patrons. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, removal from the facility, or suspension of privileges.

SKY VIEW HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING POOL RULES

General Rules:

NO diving in the shallow end of the pool.

NO running.

NO handing out goggles to patrons.

NO Lane Lines/Lap Swim during Open Swim.

NO sitting on the brown/tan boxes.

NO cash refunds for swim lessons.

Card refunds are acceptable for swim lessons.

Keep the side door closed! 

Rec center passes DO NOT apply here.

Starting blocks may only be used by certified high school swim team members under direct supervision of a current Red Cross lifeguard, certified swim coach, or designated pool staff. Use during public swim times is not permitted without advance facility approval and lane clearance.

Diving Board:

Patrons ARE allowed to dive head-first.

Patrons CANNOT wear lifejackets/floatation devices off of the diving board.

Patrons MUST dive straight out (forward) off the diving board.

Patrons CANNOT wear goggles on the diving board.

Patrons CANNOT throw balls off the diving board.

ONE person at a time on the diving board.

ONE bounce on the diving board.

Equipment:

Patrons are NOT allowed to use any equipment other than life jackets and balls found in the closet next to the boys locker room.

Patrons other than the water aerobics patrons may NOT use pool noodles, weights, kickboards, pull buoys, flotation belts, flippers, or parachutes. (Excluding lap swimmers who may use the kickboards, flippers, and pull buoys.)

Patrons may NOT throw balls off the diving board.

Patrons may NOT adjust or move the basketball hoops. (They also cannot hang on the rims.)
