SCOTTISH SEA VIEW HOLIDAY HOME OF THE YEAR 2024.

Skye Coorie, like me, is small but mighty!  She is the culmination of a life long dream to work for myself while providing visitors to our amazing island an awesome place to stay.  She's set in our garden just a few paces from the waters edge, with uninterrupted views, so you feel totally connected to the landscape and the nature surrounding you.

The sitting room gives our guests a place to relax and engage with the wildlife, we've provided a small spotting scope, some binoculars and various wildlife books for you to use while you comfortably enjoy the various garden, wading and seabirds, or simply watch the otter and seals swimming.  if you get tired of gazing out the windows, unwind watching the streaming tv (Netflix and Disney+) there's also a card reader and integrated DVD player so bring your favourite movies to watch if you prefer.   You can plan your adventures using the free Wifi and guidebooks I've put together. There is a dining table with handy sockets too, if you need to catch up on work while away and USB charging points throughout.  The independent thermostatically controlled heating means she is cool in summer and warm during our Island winters - there are extra throws to keep you extra toasty, or for if you want to sit out and enjoy the aurora or stars in this Dark Sky Site.  

The kitchen has everything you need in your 'home away from home' - a fridge, small freezer compartment, hob, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle.   All utensils and crockery are provided - from bottle opener to a French press coffee pot.  We provide a small welcome pack to greet you (milk, tea, coffee, sugar, homemade jam if available and eggs from our girls) we figure you will be needing a wee strupag after your journey.

The bedroom has a comfy European double bed and all linens provided.  There's a small wardrobe, hairdryer, extra throws and full length mirror too, the bedroom comes complete with reading lamp, as well as the crystal chandelier.

The cabin sits next to the family home, but don't worry you are not overlooked. It means you have your very own section of the garden giving you direct access to the shore.  There's seating, picnic bench, firepit and BBQ, all you need is charcoal/firewood and your own water-sport gear to launch from the foot of the steps.  If you need a socket for inflating your adventures, we've thought of that too, Skye Coorie has two external sockets for you!

We have pets - a very friendly springer spaniel and two extremely welcoming cats and of course our chickens, so please do keep this in mind - whilst we try to keep the pets away from guests (not the chickens - they are ninjas and ignore personal space) if you have an allergy or do not find animals to your liking, then perhaps Skye Coorie is not for you.

The cabin is down a steep driveway with some steps so not suitable for those with very limited mobility, we are sorry about this and are looking at ways to improve access in the future!
