If you want everyday wireless earbuds for gaming sessions and general listening, choose Skullcandy Indy True; if you need discreet earbuds for sleep and side sleeping, choose NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds. For PS5 use, neither product sheet specifies a console connection, so check compatibility before choosing.
Skullcandy Indy True vs NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds at a Glance
• NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds’ strength: A compact half-in-ear design is intended for side sleepers, and the case extends total playback to up to 30 hours. Trade-off: The stated continuous playtime is up to five hours per charge, and the sleep-oriented fit may not be the first choice for everyone.
• For general listening and a more secure fit: Choose Skullcandy Indy True.
• For bedtime audio and a low-profile design: Choose NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds.
Skullcandy Indy True is the more straightforward pick if you want a pair of wireless earbuds for music, calls, and everyday listening. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 and has touch controls for calls, tracks, and volume. That combination keeps basic listening tasks close at hand without requiring a wired connection or a separate control device. The listed Bluetooth range is 10 meters, which gives you some room to move around a connected device within that stated range.
Fit is a meaningful part of the decision. The Indy True includes removable stability ear gels, so you can adjust the fit rather than relying only on the earbud’s shape. That is useful if you want the buds to feel more secure while moving through a routine. The product information also cautions that an ill-fitting tip or improperly worn earbud can affect sound and call performance. In practical terms, getting a snug fit matters; this is not a model to choose if you strongly prefer earbuds that avoid sitting in the ear.
The listed total battery life is up to 16 hours. That figure is for the product’s total battery life, not a promise of 16 uninterrupted hours from one charge, so it is best viewed as an all-day-use figure rather than a single-session guarantee. IP55 sweat, water, and dust resistance also makes the Indy True a more plausible option for workouts or everyday exposure to sweat than a pair with no stated resistance rating. It offers sound isolation, but the sheet does not describe active noise cancellation.

Who should skip it: Skip Indy True if your main need is a low-profile earbud designed specifically for sleeping on your side.
NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds are built around a different priority: a small, discreet fit for bedtime audio, including white noise or ASMR. The half-in-ear design is described as ergonomic and intended to reduce pressure for side sleepers. Each bud is listed at 0.1 ounces. Those details make this the more relevant candidate if bulky earbuds tend to feel intrusive when your head rests against a pillow. The fit is still personal, of course, but the design intent is unusually clear.
The battery figures need a careful read. NVXMANIYK lists up to five hours of continuous playback per charge and up to 30 hours of total playtime with the charging case. That makes the case useful for topping up between listening sessions, but the per-charge figure is the one to consider for uninterrupted sleep audio. If you routinely listen through the night, think about whether five hours meets your needs rather than assuming the 30-hour total means 30 hours in one go.
The product uses Bluetooth 6.0, has touch controls, and lists a 10-meter Bluetooth range. Its case is described as a 360-degree rotating capsule that doubles as a fidget toy, and it includes a lanyard for carrying the case. IPX5 resistance is specified for sweat and splashes. The stated noise control is passive noise cancellation; there is no listed active noise cancellation. The sheet also mentions voice-assistant access and calls, so it can cover more than bedtime listening, although its sleep-first design is the clearest reason to choose it.
Who should skip it: Skip NVXMANIYK if you need longer continuous playback per charge or want a product sheet that specifies console compatibility.
• Best for an adjustable, secure in-ear fit → Skullcandy Indy True. Its removable stability ear gels give you a way to adapt the fit.
• Best for side-sleeping comfort as a design priority → NVXMANIYK Ultra-Mini Sleep Earbuds. Its small half-in-ear form is specifically presented for use in bed.
• Best for total battery life with the case → NVXMANIYK. It lists up to 30 hours total, compared with up to 16 hours total for Indy True.
• Best for longer listed continuous playback per charge → NVXMANIYK, with a caveat. It specifies up to five hours per charge; the Indy True sheet gives a total battery figure but does not state a per-charge listening duration.
• Best for workouts and sweat exposure → Skullcandy Indy True. Its IP55 rating includes sweat, water, and dust resistance. NVXMANIYK specifies IPX5 sweat and water resistance, without a dust rating.
• Best for touch controls across daily tasks → Both. Indy True lists call, track, and volume controls; NVXMANIYK lists playback, volume, calls, and voice-assistant access.
• Best for a bedtime sound routine → NVXMANIYK. Its small form and sleep-oriented positioning make it the more natural fit for white noise or ASMR.
• Best for a PS5-related purchase → Neither is a confirmed console pick from these details. Both use Bluetooth, but neither sheet says that it connects directly to PS5. Verify the connection path you plan to use before buying.
Buying Considerations
Start with the use case, not the Bluetooth version. These are both wireless, touch-controlled earbuds, but they are aimed at different routines. Indy True is framed as a general-purpose pair with removable stability ear gels and a stated IP55 rating. NVXMANIYK focuses on sleep comfort, with a half-in-ear design and a case built to extend total playtime. The small size of one does not automatically make it the right choice for every ear, and the more secure-fitting design of the other is not automatically more comfortable for bedtime.
For PS5, be especially cautious about assuming that Bluetooth earbuds will pair directly with the console. The provided specifications identify Bluetooth connectivity but do not state PS5 support or describe a console adapter. Neither should be treated as a confirmed gaming headset on these details alone. If gaming is the primary reason for the purchase, check the exact connection method you need before deciding.
Finally, don’t confuse passive sound control with active noise cancellation. Indy True lists sound isolation, while NVXMANIYK lists passive noise cancellation. Neither sheet claims active noise cancellation, and neither is described as bone-conduction audio. If you are searching for “anc bone conduction headphones for ps5,” these two products do not match that combination based on the stated features. Likewise, the phrase “best kids headset for ps5” points to a gaming use case, but the sheets identify both products as adult earbuds and do not establish child-specific sizing or PS5 compatibility.
I’d choose Skullcandy Indy True for a general-purpose pair, especially if I wanted removable stability ear gels and IP55 resistance for everyday use. For PS5, I would confirm the connection route first; neither product sheet promises direct console compatibility. If bedtime listening and side-sleeping comfort are the priority, I’d choose NVXMANIYK instead, while keeping its five-hour per-charge figure in mind.
NVXMANIYK is the more sleep-focused option. Its half-in-ear design is described as low-profile and intended for side sleepers, while Indy True is presented as a general-purpose in-ear earbud with removable stability gels.
Neither product’s listed details confirm direct PS5 support. Both specify Bluetooth, but the sheets do not explain console pairing or an adapter, so check the connection method you plan to use before buying.
NVXMANIYK lists up to 30 hours total with its case and up to five hours of continuous playback per charge. Indy True lists up to 16 hours of total battery life but does not provide a per-charge duration in the supplied specifications.
Neither sheet specifies active noise cancellation. Indy True lists sound isolation, and NVXMANIYK lists passive noise cancellation; those descriptions do not establish active noise cancelling.
