Skull and Keys Today: Where do they (and their tomb) stand?
Skull and Keys Today: Where do they (and their tomb) stand?
Given that we do not know if the society is still running in secret, and if so, to what degree, it becomes challenging to reconcile the legacy of the tomb. Regardless of the status of the society, the tomb serves as a reminder of a less progressive and clean past, one unlike the images put forth by the university today. It is possible that it functions as a marker of ownership and maintained intimidation for those who may know of its existence. It is possible that it is now a relic of an out of date vision of the university. It is possible even for us to mark the tomb as a representation of the explicit exclusion that the university, and its greek system, is predicated on.
