Dr. S. K. Tyagi is currently working as an Associate Professor at Department of Energy Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has made a significant contribution in R&D activities as evident by more than 200 publications of repute and recently he has been recognized among top 2% researchers in the country by Stanford University, USA. Recently he has designed and demonstrated a clean biomass combustion device having the emission factors (CO and PM 2.5 in g/kg fuel) better than the LPG burner tested under the same laboratory conditions and protocols (BIS, 20B). The field level demonstration of the developed device is under process, which is likely to be making impact nationally and internationally particularly using the agro-residue wastes which is otherwise being burnt in the open field releasing huge emissions into the open environmental and creating health hazardous in the country. His research group is progressively working on various fields like clean and green combustion, development of efficient biomass based combustion devices, hybrid desalination, hybrid refrigeration systems, atmospheric water generation etc.
