Air pollution data comes from AirNow. These data have not been validated by the EPA's typical quality assurance protocols. I use only monitors that have daily readings in order to keep a constant sample. Results are shown by Census Division. Results are NOT adjusted for weather, which can lead to large pollution changes (for instance it seems that much of the Great Plains/Mountain West saw a large reduction in Ozone in the middle/end of March that was likely unrelated to COVID and instead due to the weather pattern over those days). Data for Ozone is on the left and PM 2.5 is on the right. These data cannot be scraped and so have to be updated manually--I'll likely only update them once a week. Most recent update is 4/4.
