Dr. Savan K Raj

I, Dr. Savan K Raj, was born in Surat, Gujarat, India. I received my B.Sc. (2013) and M.Sc. (2015), degrees in Physics and Material Science (Nanotechnology) from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat (India). After obtaining my master’s degree, I joined the research group of Dr. Vaibhav Kulshrestha as a Project Assistant at the CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), Bhavnagar (India). I have completed my Ph.D. (April-2024) from the Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar (Core lab-CSIR-CSMCRI) (India), in the area of Carbon and its derivatives for different applications. In August 2024, I joined as a Postdoc researcher at Cape Breton University (Canada). My main research interest lies in the development of multifunctional nanomaterials for their applications in sensing (fluorescence and electrochemical) and inorganic pollutants remediation, Hydrogen evolution reactions (HER), Oxygen evolution reactions (OER), and lithium-ion batteries.
