Data mining is the process of extracting knowledge from large-scale data involving methods in machine learning, statistics, and database systems. As industrial engineers, our research primarily focuses on the problem-solving-oriented and system-level application of machine/deep learning algorithms in real-world industrial problems. Toward this goal, we address practical challenges such as data scarcity and inaccessibility, high annotation costs, limited computational resources, and dynamic environments with uncertainty.
