I am currently an INSPIRE Faculty at SPASE, IIT Kanpur. Before joining IIT Kanpur, I was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai. I completed my PhD from Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore under the Joint Astronomy Program at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Before this, I was an undergraduate student at IIT Kharagpur.
My broad interests lie in Black Holes, Planetary and Galaxy Dynamics, Galaxy Formation & Evolution, and Large-Scale Structures. My research methods include idealised N-body/magneto-hydrodynamical simulations and data products from cosmological magneto-hydrodynamical simulations (e.g., IllustrisTNG, Auriga). I also use observations from ASTROSAT (UVIT), DOT, GAIA, SDSS, JWST, etc.
Students interested in working with me, please feel free to reach out through email or at the Department (Room No: 706, Telephone: 0512-679-2616). Positions are available for short-term (Undergraduate students or summer students (look at IITK surge program) or MSc thesis) and long-term projects (PhD).

In this video I discuss about my science path which began from school days and still continuing .....
A basic introduction if you are interested to start with N-body simulations.
Hands on session on running N-body simulations and analysing the data projects of N-body simulations
