Important: SkinStatz does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything operates locally on your device.

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  - Application refers to SkinStatz, the browser extension software program.

  - We/Us/Our refers to the developer of SkinStatz.

  - You means the individual using the SkinStatz extension.

  - Service refers to the SkinStatz Application.

  - Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer with a compatible web browser.

  - Local Data refers to information stored entirely on your device using browser storage APIs.

  Data Collection - What We DON'T Collect

  We do NOT collect any data whatsoever. Specifically, we do not collect:

•   Email addresses or contact information

•   IP addresses or device identifiers

•   Usage analytics or tracking data

•   Browser history or browsing behavior

•   Financial or payment information

•   Location data

•   Any personally identifiable information

How SkinStatz Works

  SkinStatz operates entirely on your local device:

•   Local Storage Only: All your portfolio data, settings, and preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage APIs

•   No Servers: We do not operate any servers or databases that store user data

•   No Accounts: No registration, login, or account creation required

•   No Tracking: No analytics, cookies, or tracking mechanisms

Third-Party API Usage

 SkinStatz retrieves public market pricing data from:

  - Steam Community Market

  - CSFloat

 These API calls:

  - Only request publicly available market data

  - Do not include any personal information about you

  - Are made directly from your browser to these services

  - Are necessary for price tracking functionality

Data Sharing

We do not share any data because we don't collect any data.

Your Data Control:

 You have complete control over your data:

  - Export: You can export your local data for backup purposes

  - Import: You can import previously exported data

  - Delete: Uninstalling the extension removes all local data

  - No Cloud Sync: Data stays on your device only

Security

Your data security is maintained through:

  - Local-only storage (never transmitted)

  - Browser security protections

  - No external servers or databases

  - No user accounts or authentication

Children's Privacy

Since we don't collect any personal information, SkinStatz can be safely used by individuals of any age under appropriate supervision.

Canadian Privacy Compliance

As a Canadian-based service, we comply with PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws. Since we don't collect personal information, most data protection obligations don't apply to our practices.

SkinStatz may contain links to external websites (Steam, GitHub, etc.). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy policies of these third-party sites.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by:

  - Updating the "Last updated" date

  - Posting updates on our GitHub repository

  - Providing notice through the extension interface if significant changes occur

 You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
