Roots is the name of the two villages called juffereh and albreda. This is a very popular trip to the home of kunta kinteh.
We start at 8am and head for the ferry at banjul where we will cross the river to barra. Then we drive in a 4x4 to visit james island. It includes a boat trip to the island and a visit to the museum.
Roots can also be done by boat from banjul cruising to the island which takes about 3 hours in and 3 hours out and there is possibility of us spotting dolphins. Food and drinks included in both routes.
The fathala park is located to the north of Senegal,you will be pick up early morning to drive to banjul, the capital of the gambia, where you will join the public ferry to barra(north bank) and experience the bustle of the people at the crossing point,
After 45 minutes on the ferry you join a 4x4 drive that will now head to the border for passport checking then drive to the park, in the park you can see animals like zebras, Giraffes Antelopes, buffaloes, rhinos, birds crocodiles and so on After the safari we drive back to barra for lunch then join the ferry back to banjul and the hotel.
Lamin the most visited village where you will have a boat trip to see the local ladies fetching oysters, birds, the big tree, rice field and local village compound.

You will be pick from your early and drive through the north bank of the gambia then cross to the south bank(farafenni). We will senegambia breach then visit stone circle of wassu and learned about them before cruising further down to river gambia, where you we can spot hippos,crocodiles, baboons and chimpanzees. If you are a fan of birds, there will be chances to see many birds. We spend the night at Georgetown. The camp has rooms with running water, toilet and beds with mosquito nets.
On day two we will have a tour of the island(local market and slave house) and we will drive to tendaba for a lunch before heading back to your hotel.
This is a trip to the makasutu park just 45 minutes away on the tour well see lots of baboons and different birds we well meet a fortune teller and its also possible a make a boat trip on the Gambia river for 45 minutes and then back to the park we also visit the palm wine tapper where you will be able to try palm wine called jungl juice.

This is a very interesting trip to a local school with a taste of local people in a local school that will put a smile on your face. All it takes is some pencils and books or a donation to support the school we will be visiting. If you feel good at the school and still want to stay away from your hotel area, we can drive you to a nice beach for few hours then back to the hotel
A visit to bakau or sukuta garden to see how the ladies grow their vegetables and how they live their daily life.
