SkillUp is an e-learning Android application that allows users to enroll in courses, watch video lessons, read educational content, and take quizzes. We ensure that user data is handled securely and transparently.

We may collect the following user information:

• Email address (for user authentication)

• Login credentials (securely managed via Firebase Authentication)

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as phone numbers, contacts, or location.

3. How We Use Information 

We use the collected information strictly to:

• Provide secure user authentication

• Enable access to courses and learning content

• Track user progress and course completion

We do not use user data for advertising, profiling, or selling purposes.

4. Information Accessed by the App 

a) Internet Access

• Required to load course content, stream videos, and authenticate users

b) Network State

• Used to check internet connectivity for better user experience

The app does not access location, contacts, camera, or storage without user interaction.

5. Video Content 

SkillUp provides educational video content that is either:

• Created by us, or

• Properly licensed or sourced from authorized platforms

We do not host or distribute copyrighted content without permission.

6. Third-Party Services 

SkillUp uses trusted third-party services:

Firebase (Google LLC)

• Firebase Authentication (for login)

• Firebase Realtime Database (for app data)

• Firebase Storage (for content delivery)

7. Data Storage and Security 

User authentication data is securely handled by Firebase

App-related data (such as progress) may be stored locally using SharedPreferences

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties

8. User Rights and Control 

Users have full control over their data:

• You can uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data

• You can contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data

9. Children’s Privacy 

SkillUp is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. 

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected within the app or on the Google Play Store listing.

1. Send an email from your registered email ID

2. Mention "Account Deletion Request" in the subject

3. We will verify and process your request

Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 3–5 working days.

Some data may be retained temporarily for legal or security purposes.
