Taking the Leap: Pip's Flight to Courage
Pip is a small bird, living in a cozy nest. Unlike his siblings, who love flying high into the clear blue sky, Pip is afraid. He admires them as they soar joyfully, singing songs and exploring, but every time he looks up, his little heart races with fear.
"Did I fall?" Pip often wonders, unsure if he's ready. His brothers encourage him: “We understand, Pip! Flying is fun!” But despite their encouragement, Pip doesn't dare to try.
One sunny afternoon, Pip’s mother sat next to him. "Pip," she said softly, "it's time for you to fly."
“But I can't!” Pip nervously replied. “What if I fall and get hurt?”
His mother smiled gently and said, “You are capable, Pip. You’ll never know what you can do unless you try. Trust your wings; they are stronger than you think.”
Pip looked to his mother for comfort, then gazed up at the sky. It looked so big and endless, yet also inviting. He hesitated, but then took a deep breath. "Alright," he whispered to himself, "I’ll try."
Pip stretched his wings, his tiny claws gripping the edge of the nest. He closed his eyes and took the leap. For a moment, he felt as if he was falling, and panic set in. But then, he felt the wind beneath his wings, and he began to glide.
“I’m flying!” Pip shouted in amazement. He had done it. Though he was still nervous, he felt a thrill in the air and knew that his world had just gotten much bigger.
