A key part of this process is doing a Skill Assessments (aka an audition) with our team leaders.
We know this can be an intimiating process but be assured we are committed to making this experience one that is straight forward & enjoyable for you!
Below you will find two songs to prepare, along with what to bring for your assessment.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate reach out.
SONGS TO PREPARE
WHAT TO BRING
Just yourself!
One of our vocal team will meet you side of stage in our Main Auditorium and take you to the Green Room for your assessment around our piano.
Your assessment will take place on our Main Auditorium platform with a 4 piece band.
You will need to bring a set of your own In Ear Monitors (if you don't own IEMs, a pair of wired headphones will suffice) + your gear.
Drummers: we have a drumkit & click on site. If you have your own snare or cymbals, please bring those.
Guitarists & Bass Players: please bring your guitar, a lead, tuner, your pedalboard and amp (whatever you have).
Keyboardists: we have a Nord keyboard on site with inbuilt sounds in addition to MIDI capabilities. If you are using Mainstage or Abelton, please bring your laptop, MIDI or USB cables and relevant equipment.
Strings Players: please bring your instrument.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Please warm up as you're able to before arriving, however we will additionally run through some warmups around the piano with you. It gives us all a chance to relax and check we are sufficiently warmed up.
From there we will look at scales, assessing your vocal range before then working through the songs you have prepared. We are looking with you at things like pitch, tone, an ability to identify the melody of a song and subsequent harmonies.
Finally we will chat to you about your availability and how you would like to be involved in the team.
On arrival our team will show you the ropes setting up your equipment, getting you sorted with an In Ear Monitors pack to hear the band and provide you with any additional gear required.
From there we will soundcheck your instrument before running through the songs you have prepared.
Once we've run the songs through, we will chat to you about your availability and how you would like to be involved in the team.
