Halving the Tempo:
tempo in the 75 to 100+ range can be halved by the skater to 37 to 50+ strides per minute
conversely slow tempo in 37 to 50 bpm range can be doubled by the skater to 75 to 100 strides per minute
tempo in the 50 to 75 range is hard to double or halve without making it very slow or very brisk, so would be skated as-is
