Iman Meskini Instagram Q&A (12/1-22)

Iman had a Q&A on her instagram a few days ago and here are all her answers!

Enjoy! <3

- Will not play another repressed woman with hijab

Iman Meskini is determined to be the change she wants to see in society.

In a dormitory aparment by Storo, actor Iman Meskini opens the door and welcomes Utrop with a friendly smile.

Outside there is a view over the whole of Oslo, but inside the apartment is priavate and cozy. Here she lives with her husband, Mourad.

- Do you want milk in the coffee?, she asks before she bursts out laughing:
- Just forget it, Mourad has drunk the milk. Hope it goes well with black coffee.

Meskini became known to Norway and large parts of the world when she played the independent and tough "Sana" in the hit series SKAM. Since we saw her in SKAM, she has completed her first service, a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies and a tough trip to the North Cape. She has also worked as a presenter, speaker and podcast host.

Takes the matter into their own hands

Meskini sits on the sofa and tells us about when she and her friend Ida Shirazi decided to make a podcast together. The friends missed a podcast where you get to know different people who practice different religions and took matters into their own hands. The result was the podcast "Har Du Trua?" in collaboration with Aftenposten.

- Even though I love Islam, I am also very curious about other religions", Meskini says with a smile.

In the podcast, the focus is on how different people practice their religion and not just on the religion itself. One guest talks about how she practices Sami nature, and another guest talks about when she chose to convert to Judaism.

Previously, Meskini has been the podcast host for the podcast "Perspektiv" with the Norwegian Refugee Council. She herself took the initiative for this, when she was on an exchange in Jordan and wanted to convey the stories of the many Syrian refugees in the country.

This is not the first time she has taken hold herself. As a youth, she was an active basketball player. One day when she was about to play a match, a judge approached her and told her that she could not really play the match because she was wearing a hijab.

Instead of giving up, Meskini wrote a letter to the Norwegian Baketball Association together with her mother and coach. The letter was a proposal to change the ban on hijab in basketball matches. A few months later, the bill was approved. The ban on hijab in basketball matches was lifted.

- Experience taught me that you do not always need others to make a change for me, I can do it myself.

Feminist

With this experience, Meskini proved that the hijab is not an obstacle for her, rather an inspiration to develop.

- I know that it is because I am a Muslim and wear the hijab that I have become the strong and principled woman I am today, says Meskini who is often asked if she can call herself a feminist while wearing the hijab.

- I answer yes because I'm a feminist, and I wear a hijab. Many people think of the headdress as an oppressive garment and think that Islam is a women's oppressive religion. It is about little knowledge and about blackmailing an entire religion and population, she points out firmly.

The actor refers to how the media often focuses on religion if a perpetrator is a Muslim, but does not do so if the perpetrator e.g. is a Christian.

- We are not blind, we see how a case is written when someone who happens to have a Muslin background does something and how they write the cases when a white man does something criminal. Often Islam has nothing to do with the matter at all, but when it is a Muslim who does it, they still promote the religion.

Meskini believes that this type of journalism creates an irrational fear of Muslims.

- We are talking about 1.8 billion people on earth. Then there are four fools who do something criminal.

Was met by her own prejudices

Meskini herself noticed how she has been influenced by the media's portrayal of Muslim countries when she traveled to Jordan on exchange.

- At first I imagined a desert landscape and an underdeveloped country, and thought that all the ladies had long black shawls. That was not what we came to. Then I noticed that even I am colored by prejudices to other parts of the world.

Meskini adds that she was very surprised when she came to Jordan:
- I was like: "WHAT?". It was a completely different world. The shops, restaurants and buildings they had there are in a completely different league than what we have here.

Meskini struggles to find words for thr excitement she felt. She likes that the people of Jordan are very diverse.

- It was just as common to wear a hijab as to go without. People bathed and sunbathed together in both burkini and bikini. I felt that I could be myself without anyone caring what I went with, she says and elaborates:
- It was four months where I never had to answer why I wear the hijab. Four monhts where I could just be. It was the first time I thought "Is this how it feels to be part of a majority?". Although I'm not Jordanian, I'm similar to them and felt like one of the others.

Lack of roles for girls with hijab

Meskini says that it was a bit difficult to get back to Norway, and the eternal hijab debate.

- My lecturers in Jordan were surprised when we told them that the use of the hijab was a debate in Norway. For them, the hijab is something some choose to wear, while others do not. This shows what we as a society choose to problematize.

She points out that the media often portray women with hijab as oppressed, and that this may be a reason why many Norwegians see hijab as a problem. She herself is aware that she does not want to contribute to these prejudices.

- I would not have played Sana is she was anything other than a strong Muslim woman. We have seen enough of oppressed Muslim women. Now we need the opposite.

- Is this one of the reasons why you have not been on the TV screen more as an actor?

-- Yes, there is one reasons. I have declined a couple of roles due to that. The main reason, however is that there are few roles that a Muslim girl with a hijab can play. That is, where it is not about her taking off her hijab towards the end.

Came all the way to the North Cape

She herself recognizes herself in the strong and principled Sana. That Iman is strong, we proved when she came in second place in 71 degrees north - Norway's toughest celebrity, only beaten by the longtime Olympic champion in cross-country skiing, Thomas Alsgaard. Female participants have only captured eight of a total 39 podium places since the program started in 2010.

Of these, Iman Meskini and former Minister of Defense Kristin Krohn Devold have come in second. Former cross-country skier Marthe Kristoffersen, is the only woman who has won the celebrity version of 71 degrees north.

- Oh, I did not know, Meskini exclaims and explains that what kept her going towards the goal was that she is a Muslim girl who has encountered many prejudices.
- People are surprised if I have been on a cabin trip and can ski and go in the country. I wanted to prove that "We can do this too. This is part of our culture as well".

Meskini says that 71 degreese north is one of her favorite programs from Norwegain TV ever.

- After SKAM, I thought that if there is one program I want to be part of it I am asked, it is 71 degrees north.

- When you think you're on a curb, you're only halfway there

One year in the military helped Meskini get all the way to the North Cape at 71 degrees north.

- The military taught me that when you think you're on a curb, you're only halfway to what you really can do. So when I thought I was done in 71 degrees north, I knew I could do more.

Meskini believes that the military has largely developed her personality, because it was a year of strict discipline.

- In the military, you are told what to do all the time. It was delicious, because then you do not have to make the small choices that you make every day. Then you do not have to choose whether to let the alarm snooze or not.

Meskini says that the strict routines were healthy for the head.

- Then you get space to think about other things. It was mentally delicious not to think about what to wear or eat.

An open mind

Meskini gives the impression of being a person who is in balance. The apartment is nice and tidy. On the bookshelf is the autobiography of Peace Prize winner Nadia Mourad next to the anthology "Third Culture Kids". The book that stands out the most beautifully is the Koran.

Her face radiates kindness and openness, which can make it easier for the guests in the podcast to open up.

- When we talk about the times people have doubted their faith, which is often a taboo topic in several religious families.

Several of the guests have thanked Meskini and Shirazi after the podcast.

- They have told us that this is the first time they have been able to talk about religion on podcasts.

Being first out with something is no stranger to Meskini, who did not let herself be stopped by the fact that she had never seen anyone like herself on TV before. What the next project will be, she only reveals halfway.

- Moving, acting and then I have a couple of other exciting projects lurking, she says with a sly smile.

Ulrikke Falch is making a TV comeback (English translation)

Ulrikke: We follow the main characters Line and Elin who are best friends and roomies. Line is also dumped by her girlfriend and then Elin suggests that in order to get ever her ex she has to sleep with a lot of people.

Interviewer: There are some long scenes there. How do you think it is to record such scenes, have you done it before?

Ulrikke: No. We have had an intimacy coordinator. Very important for it to be a safe room. Especially because there were so many different actors I had to meet and date or sleep with. We start in a way up to two hours before an intimate scene. Maybe this is the first time we meet each other. And then we start with breating techniques. And then we start by looking each other in the eyes. It's already starting to get pretty intimate. We met half an hour ago. We should also ask "is it okay for me to touch you on your left shoulder?". Sometimes it's all right and other days you might feel like "Ugh. I do not want to be touched anywhere".

Interviewer: And how is it that you were cast in a Swedish series?

Ulrikke: I have actually asked about this myself too because they were the ones who contacted me and had a role for me. So this is in a way written with me in mind.

Interviewer: It will almost be a small TV comeback for you today. Long since we've seen you in someting now.

Ulrikke: I'm excited about it. It kind of scares me to be out there again. But also very proud that I have completed this and have a leading role. What?! I had sort of stood for quite a few years in a bit of such strong wind and weather. Where I got a lot of feedback and criticism. I also do not think that I realized until a few years ago that "oh, I can not really do so well in this year". That people have opinions about me. To learn to get to know oneself again. Regardless of whether others see you as the rap-jawed feminist. Find a little back to yourself.

If the video gets taken down, you can watch it HERE

(By the way; Google Translate sucks when it comes to some words, but I hope you still understand. xx)

About intimacy coordinator: - It was "life saving"!

In her first fictional role since "Skam", Ulrikke Falch (25) plays Line who tries to "bang herself happy" after a break-up. Falch herself does not recommend that method.

Even if you have not seen Falch as an actress since "Skam" (2015-2017), she has worked a lot.

She has written books, given lectures, had podcasts, fronted documentaries, directed advertising, studied screenwriting - and now has the main role in the Swedish series "Ligga - konsten att komma över sitt ex".

- This is the first as an actor since "Skam". So it also feels very big and important, says Falch smiling.

As the title suggests, there are plenty of intimate scenes when the character Line is dumped by her girlfriend Julia and her best friend Elin challenges her to sleep with one woman a week to forget about her ex.

Intimacy coordinator

For the sex scenes, Falch says they used an intimacy coordinator.

- It was "life saving"! Because there were up to ten intimate scenes in the end, with so many different girls. You could get on the set, say hello and pretty soon afterwards we will go to bed or undress each other, she describes and explains:
- It was pretty cool to be allowed to work with your own boundaries. I'm not used to that either as an actor or in my own life. So to feel for "Is it okay for you to take me on my should today?". One day it could be awkward and another day it could be completely natural. So having constant contact with the boundaries was sickeningly rewarding - both as an actor and as a human being.

Explicit scenes

- Was there a difference between shooting comic and tender sex scenes?

- No, I think everything was equally difficult. For those who are comical are quite explicit as well. They are just as challenging.

- What do you think about talking about that topic?

- I thought it was very interesting to work with. The function of intimacy coordinator has come in quite recently. I am a super-champion for that and think all productions should have it. I think it's exciting to talk about because setting boundaries at work is just as important as setting boundaries in private, and not just when it comes to sexuality.

Does not recommend "sleeping around"

According to TVNorge, the character Elin tries to make Line "bang herself happy". This is not a method Falch recommends.

- It gets extreme and put on the tip, but I think people can recognize themselves in the concept of sleeping with someone to get over others. I do not think it is a good tip, but after a breakup you have to make some mistakes to find out what is right for you, she points out.

Tips for heartache

- Do you have any good tips for viewers and readers with love grief?

- I go for the cliche "Take care of yourself, seek out friends and talk to family". I would like to come up with a cool tip... After a break - go boxing! I can vouch for that, says Falch who trains herself and is a boxing instructor.

- Could you use some of your experiences in this role?

- All breakups are quite painful, she says and smiles:
- I always use myself. The situations are recognizable. Just being in a lot of pain when you have love greif and doing things you maybe shouldn't do when you should sit down and breathe a little. But greif can be evoked regardless of rupture!

Retreated

After several years of extreme visibility that also led to weekly rape threats, Falch took a break from social media. Now she shares a few glimpses occasionally.

- How has that change been?

- I experience the difference and sickly nice. It has been very, very good to retire. Standing on the barriers and talking loudly and screaming loudly means that you get a lot of feedback. I have not managed so well to stand in it. I can not really stand that people think so much about me, she says and adds:
- It took a while before I realized that it was at the expense of myself and how I feel. So it has been very nice to focus on what I want instead of that conflict or debate I am facing.

Studying script

After being a freelancer a few years after "Skam", Falch felt she wanted some safe routines. Half a year into the pandemic, she began a bachelor's degree in screenwriting at Westerdals/Kristiania University College.

- How has the pandemic been for you?

- Studying was great, because then I had a routine. And then I got my apartment, so I had a lot to do with it. I took on a complete renovation project, she reveals - something she has also shared a bit from on Instagram.
- Then I got the opportunity to go to Stockholm and work, so I have been super lucky. You are very isolated and can feel more lonely then before, but I think I have been very lucky!

And even though she has not yet fully landed on who she is, Falch knows what she wants to be:

- I want to work with film and TV bith in front of and behind the camera. I want to be good at everything. Then I'll see.

Premiere today: "she's pretty loco while I'm pretty vanilla" - Clara Henry & Skam actress in the new lesbian series "Ligga"

On the 25th it hits - like Magnus Uggla sings! Today is the premiere day for the lesbian series "Ligga" on discovery+. Clara Henry and the Skam actress Ulrikke Falch have the main roles in the series about two lesbian friends who really put young women's sexuality in focus.

Now it's time for the long-awaited and groundbreaking relationship drama to take place on TV screens - a perfect series for the heartbroken lesbian.
Ligga is written and directed by Lina Åström (Sjukt oklar). It's about Elin (Clara Henry) and Line (Ulrikke Falch) who are best friends and roomies. Line is dumped by her girlfriend Julia and the only thing she wants to do is be at home, drink wine and mourn - something Elin does not allow.

- Elin thinks that the best way to get over her ex is to sleep with others. She incites Line to start tindering and meeting people. They almost start a competition where Line has to sleep with a new woman every week for two months. Line is skeptical while Elin thinks it is the most ingenious idea she has ever come up with, says Clara Henry.

- Line tries to sort out her relationship even though she does not have the right tools or the best solutions - or in other words Elin's tools and solutions, says Ulrikke Falch.

The series sheds light on lesbian dating and depicts the relationship between two lesbian friends. The girls agree that rainbow representation in movies and series is important and not least "nice" according to Clara Henry.
- I'm getting started on it (laughs). I feel "YES! I want to see more". From a societal perspective, it does great good, but if you look at the small things, you will be happy. What Lina Åström does damn well is that she writes queer series where the focus is not on being queer. It is never a problem, there is no anxiety attached to it and there is no coming out process, it is just a fact.

- Representation in film and television is alpha and omega, Ulrikke Falch continues. It's about us needing to see ourselves on screen. When LGBTQ+ stories are represented, you feel less alone, you recognize things from your own life and get new perspectives and can process emotions by seeing something unfold in front of us and then all stories must be told.

Can you recognize yourself in the characters?
- No, not in the least. Ulrikke and I joked about it. She's pretty loco while I'm pretty vanilla (laughs). It feels like Ulrikke is more like Elin and I am more like Line, says Clara Henry while Ulrikke Falch continues:

- I can recognize myself in Line's will. Her desire to get better and the disappointment when it does not work. But Line is a pretty awkward girl and I do not think I am... Or I do not hope so (laughs).

Although Elin with beaks and claws tries to help her best friend, Clara Henry had not given the same breakup tips that Elin gives Line.
- Clara had met her friends and taken time for herself. Find your way back to the security of being alone. I had probably vomited in my own mouth at the thought of being with someone else when sad and newly divorced.

The same applies to Ulrikke Falch who had not handled a breakup in the same way as her character.
- I would have spent more time on myself instead of starting dating. When you become single, you have to find out who you are without your partner - even though it's hard. I had focused on friends, family and myself. Done thing I did not have time for during the relationship, she says and continues:
- My tip to anyone with a broken heart is that time heals all the wounds. Take one day at a time and talk to someone you trust. It usually helps!

According to the girls, the viewers can expect an emotional roller coaster.
- There will be laughter and maybe a few tears. They can also expect fantastic actors, plus me trying to speak Swedish (laughs). It's worth seeing! says Ulrikke Falch.

- The series is a classic "Lina Åströmsk ohno-drama comedy". It contains many gruesome scenes, starting with a little lie and then it just gets worse and worse. As a viewer, you feel "why do you not say it as it is?". Ulrikke is also damn good at being cringe without overplaying it, says Clara Henry.

Before the premiere, the girls feel both nervous and excited.
- You always panic the first time you see something that you yourself participate in. I saw the series with a friend and her reactions were "huh!?" at the right times and laughs at the right times, so it feels hilarious! tells Clara Henry while Ulrikke Falch continues:

- I'm nervous, tense and the whole emotional spectrum at once. It has been a dream to work with the production, which 99 procent consists of a female team, spend the summer in Stockholm and get to know Clara and the rest of the cast. Now we will finally get to show what we have done!

You play lesbians! What is your relationship to the rainbow community?
- I am bisexual and just came out of a same-sex relationship. I have a lot of nice rainbow memories from fun Prides I've been to. This summer, my friends and I had a cozy, infected safe Pride party! tells Clara Henry while Ulrikke Falch continues:
- My sexuality is fluid. I'm attracted to all genders, but right now I'm in a heterosexual relationship. I experience the rainbow community as a very inclusive community, a place where you can be yourself and where you are welcome with everything you are as a human being. My best rainbow memory was my very first Pride train in Oslo a few years ago - over 50,000 people gathered to celebrate and fight for love!

What do you want to greet QX readers?
- You're in for a ride! Have fun and get disovery+, and check out "Ligga" on December 25th!

LIGGA - OUT NOW!

The first (and hopefully not the last) season of LIGGA is out NOW on Discovery+ Sverige/Norge!

You can watch the entire series HERE (Sverige).

Let's hope we get a season 2!

Ulrikke Falch: - I immediately regretted it! | If you eat to little, you can lose your period

Trigger warning: contains talking about eating disorders and periods.

*In Norwegian*

Clara Henry and Ulrikke Falch about "Ligga" on Discovery+

Interviewer: Hi, how are you?

Clara: Good thanks. How are you?

Interviewer: Yeah it's nice! I have peeked a bit at the series and I think it's damn funny. It think it is... I like it.

Clara: Wonderful! How fun. Nice to hear.

Interviewer: Have you seen anything?

Clara & Ulrikke: Yes! Everything.

Ulrikke: We've seen everything.

Interviewer: And how does it feel?

Ulrikke: I also think it's a lot of fun. It's so fun to see everything finished.

Clara: God yes! And I think it's so hard when you are... Or rather like this, sometimes when you had scenes and I had a break and I had to sit behind the monitor that was like "oh god, this is how it will look later". That it is so heavenly luxurious that you have... Or at least I have a very hard time imagining it when I do not see the monitor. I think it's very luxurious to see it when it's done.

Interviewer: Yeah, exactly. And if you would pitch the series super short for our viewers.

Ulrikke: Take it you!

Clara: Okay. It's about Elin and Line who are...

Ulrikke: Best friends!

Clara & Ulrikke: And roomates!

Clara: And Line has just been dumped by her ex and is totally heartbroken and Elin is a pretty consequence-free person who thinks "perfect! Then we will do what I have wanted to do during the whole period you were in a relationship. It is to drink beer and make you sleep around. Because that's what you need". And then follows a rather thrilling and destructive series of dates, where then Line will get over her ex. By hooking up.

Interviewer: Thanks for that! There are quite a few sick jokes in the series throughout. Both with high recognition factor and also those who are perhaps a little more in the extreme direction. Do you have a favorite joke like that that you thought was "shit, this... Now we're a little on the verge of being too much, but we like it"?

Ulrikke: That was a fun question.

Clara: I can say one while you think. Or do you have one?

Ulrikke: No I have none.

Clara: I have two things that I thought were really fun, that I sat at home and laughed a lot at when I read them and one is in a later episode when Elin has to explain a girl to Line and say like this "she is this old, her name it this, she has a dream cather tattoo on her forearm, but you do not need to look at it". I guess it was something just inexplicable, super fun with it.

Ulrikke: I think, because there's a joke where Line tries, or she says she's French, but she´s not and so Elin says "you cried when Notre Dame burned". I was lying there laughing when I read the script.

Clara: I also think it's a lot of fun, that's the end of... Maybe you should not spoil it. At the end of the episode with Destiny. I also think it's a lof of fun when Line does the classic and says "Grandma, are you in the hospital?" when she's in the hospital with Destiny's grandmother. (I couldn't hear it fully, but I think this is what she said)

Interviewer: If we go like this then, Clara what would you say are the biggest similarities between Ulrikke and Line in reality?

Clara: Oh! How difficult. I kind of just knew you as Line somehow this summer. It has been... I think it has been tricky to know what was been Line and what has been you. You are quiet different, I think, as people when we hang out privately. But we joked a big that I'm actually more like Line in that I can be a little like this, maybe a little reluctant and a little like this, I do not want to go out and that you are a little more like Elin. I do not know... I do not want to put the words in your mouth...

Ulrikke: No no, I totally agree. And so I thought... It's hard, because I have known you as Elin and you are not like Elin at all. So i've been kind of confused when we hung out in private, because then I'm like "who are you?". So I do not know how similar you are, but you are not. (I couldn't hear it fully, but I think this is what she said)

Clara: No, I do not actually feel like Elin.

Ulrikke: No.

Clara: She's pretty chaotic.

Ulrikke: Yes. But, as you said something with your energy level. You can screw it up so you have a high energy level, but you're still not as chaotic as Elin. You're a little socially smarter.

Clara: I might be a bit of a social chameleon, like Line. Or trying to be. But I may not be as drastic as Line gets, maybe say more as it is instead of kind of lying and then the lie just gets bigger and bigger.
That may not all be the answer to your question.

Interviewer: No, but it's just fun to see you discuss. Even if you do not recognize yourself very much with the characters you play, there is quite a bit of recognition in the series itself like in the theme and with many of the jokes. Is there a situation that you were in the series that you felt extra much in? Do you understand what I mean?

Clara: You go first.

Ulrikke: So, I recognize myself in being heartbroken. So get dumped. But no.

Clara: No. But that may be the case when you play a character who is not so similar to yourself. It may not be so much one relates to so, like getting acquainted with the situation as well. I can put myself in the situation of inciting a friend, "yes but come on now, now you can not cancel, now you have to do this". But then maybe you are a little more encouraging rather than that you are Elin who is almost on the verge of being mean in how hard she is on her best friend.

Interviewer: The obligatory question for our viewers, would you like to do another season?

Ulrikke & Clara: Yes!

Interviewer: Are there any plans for that?

Clara: We do not know, we can keep our fingers crossed.

Interviewer: Ulrikke, this is your first big role really since Skam, how does it feel to back this way?

Ulrikke: It feels very good. I'm really grateful that this is the first major production I'm in since Skam. It has been a very very fun experience. And a great experience.

Skam-Vilde about the sex scenes in the new series: "A little nervous"

Interviewer: ...It will be about Discovery's new venture "Ligga". There we get to follow Line who has been dumped by her girlfriend and her friend Elin advises her to sleep with a new person every week. And in the main roles in the series, we see Ulrikke Falch, who we recognize from the series "Skam", and also Clara Henry. I met them both during the premiere.

Interviewer: We recognize you as Vilde in "Skam", if you compare, what has it been like to play Line now?

Ulrikke: Completely different. They are two very different characters, which I do not think you can compare at all.

Interviewer: We get to accompany Line when she's trying to get over her girlfriend and she's going on dates, and it's a little uncomfortable sometimes. Do you recognize yourself in any of it?

Ulrikke: I do not think I have dated as much as Line does in this season...

Interviewer: Probably not many have.

Ulrikke: No, it's quite a lot. But you have been on a date and it has been awkward and boring and strange.

Interviewer: There are also some sex and intimate scenes in the series, what has it been like to film them?

Ulrikke: I was not nervous beforehand, because we did a lot of exercises, so we trusted each other and we took choreography and knew what to do next. But I could get a little nervous when I read the script and thought "okay there will be a lot of intimate scenes".

Interviewer: How do you hope the series will be received?

Clara: I hope people will laugh at it. I hope people will think it is relatable, it treats heartache. But I mainly hope that people think it's funny!

Interviewer: The series "Ligga" premieres on December 25 on Discovery Plus, so you should keep an eye on it, right Mattias?

Mattias: Absolutely! It is smart, good looking. It works for quite some time. Then I can think that there was an occasion a bit into the series when there is a kind of "Fight Club" crucial moment that ruined it a little for me and I was right. Later a revelation awaits of course. But it works. Three wasps.

Love greif, friendship and sex in "Ligga"

The TV series "Ligga" revolvs around broken relationships, Tinder - and how intensive shagging can be the best medicine to move on.
- If you could get over your ex by sleeping with a new person every week, then everyone would do it, says Clara Henry, who plays one of the series´ main roles.

On Christmas Day, the TV series "Ligga" with Clara Henry and Ulrikke Falch in the lead roles premieres.

The series, which is described as a drama comedy, revolvs around Line, who with the help of the very determined friend Elin begins an intense dating to get over her girlfriend Julia's brutal dumping. A new person to sleep with a week for two months is Elin's recipe to get Line to move on in life, and to succeed she creates an attractive Tinder profile for her newly dumped friend.

According to Clara Henry, who plays the energetic Elin, everyone can also - despite a sometimes twisted tone - recognize themselves in the TV series.
- Everyone has been dumped and knows how hard it is - and then you wish there was this tupe of "quick fix". If you were to get over your ex by sleeping with a new person a week, then everyone would do it. And it's easy to understand Line's desperation - that she just wants some pain relief, she says.

"Social chameleon"

The Norwegian actress Ulrikke Falch, formerly known to the Swedish TV audience as Vilde in the TV series "Skam", plays the newly dumped and more insecure Line - and says that she partly recognize herself in the character.
- I experience Line as a social chameleon, who constantly tries to adapt to the people she meets. And many can probably recognize themselves in Lines's desire to be happy, without knowing how to go about it. I can relate to that myself. That you are insecure about yourself at the same time as you want to be happy, she says.

"Peaks a form of gambling"

As the title suggests, much of the series revolvs around the landscape that Line engages in - the result of an intense - and strategically planned - Tinder dating. According to Clara Henry, the women that Line meets are also a kind of twisted versions of the reality, sometimes challenging, Tindermarket.
- It feels like everyone that Line meets is a kind of exaggerated reflection of how it can sometimes feel when you are on Tinder. Just the feeling that the only thing you actually want is to find someone who is just normal - and preferably also kind and preferably funny. But sometimes once you are there, it can feel like you are facing a huge challenge, she says and continues:
- I remember what it was like when I myself had Tinder and got anxiety from thinking that: "Here I sit and say yes or no to people, based on how they look - and they do the same thing for me".

Ulrikke Falch also recognize herself in the TV series depiction of the not always so truthful Tinder world - which she equates with gambling.
- You take a chance every time you go on a date. It can go very well - or it does not go so well at all - and I recognize myself in that. And chatting before you see each other - it does not correspong to what you then experience when you meet in reality, she says.

Open end to the series

The script and direction is by Lina Åström, who has previously produced the SVT series "Sjukt oklar", where Clara Henry played the lead role - and the two actors also suggest that the TV series has and open ending.

But - despite the fact that Line is experiencing a couple of eventful months to say the least, Ulrikke Falch is unsure whether a new shag every week is really the best recipe for getting back on her feet after a dump.
- I have learned that when you have had your heart broken, you should turn inwards and focus on yourself. And do things like eat ice cream, watch romcoms - and cry out, she says.

Gauteshow - Ulrikke Falch (With English translation)

Trigger Warning - talking about child pornography, masturbating & death.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

English translation:

Gaute: My first guest is also the most famous guest I will have. She is world famous, has played in Skam, has talked about menstruation - Welcome Ulrikke Falch! Hi Ulrikke!

Ulrikke: Hi!

Gaute: How long did you work with Skam?
I have not seen Skam, Ulrikke.

Ulrikke: Have you still not done so?

Gaute: I've seen two episodes. I saw two of those gay episodes. They were awesome!

Ulrikke: Yes? Why did you not continue to watch it?

Gaute: Because I... pulled it? Is that okay to say? That I left after pulling it to the gays... I have my lawyer on the side here. He helps me a little, to keep a little pace with what I can say and not. (This whole conversation is about him masturbating).

Ulrikke: Oh yes! There's nothing wrong with saying gay?

Gaute: There's not?

Ulrikke: No no no.

Gaute: So I can say fucking gay to people? Shout at them and call them fucking gay if they do something stupid?

Ulrikke: Ehh, no?

Gaute: Okay, but then I do not understand anything again! What the hell is this?
We need to get to know each other a little better, Ulrikke! Some quick questions, do you have time for that?

Ulrikke: Yes!

Gaute: What's the worst thing you've ever seen on TV? Say Lindmo.
We intend to pitch this, in Lindmo's place. In NRK.

Ulrikke: Yeah, mhm.

Gaute: So if you say Lindmo was shit now, I think it can help us damn well.

Ulrikke: Yes, I can say Lindmo.

Gaute: You read that there has been a double murder, who do you hope it is?

Ulrikke: Who I wish died?

Gaute: Yeah, double murder. I have many.

Ulrikke: Who do you have?

Gaute: Truls and Hellstrøm.
Who are you voting for?

Ulrikke: No.

Gaute: No? You aren't voting?

Ulrikke: It's top secret?

Gaute: Nah, the election in Norway is so secret. You talk about everything else except what you vote for.
Are you racist? Is that what you are?

Ulrikke: Haha, no.

Gaute: Because it's FRP? (Fremskrittspartie)

Ulrikke: No.

Gaute: Because I saw your tattoo, but we do not need to talk about it.
We will be back with more Ulrikke Falch

*Commercial break*

Gaute: I read something about you.

Ulrikke: Okay?

Gaute: You watched porn before you went to school, when you were in 1st grade?

Ulrikke: Well, I was probably around eight years old, so 3rd grade?

Gaute: 3rd grade?

Ulrikke: Yes, in primary school.

Gaute: OMG. What were you watching then? Did you watch child porn? Or did you just look at the usual...

Ulrikke: I've never watched child porn.

Gaute: Never seen child porn?

Ulrikke: I'm very proud of that.

Gaute: No, it's... Child-
Child porn is not two children having sex...? There is usually one child and one adult..
I've never seen it, but I think it's like that. If not, there would have been nothing dangerous? If it was just children?
Are you mad?

Ulrikke: No, I'm not mad.

Gaute: Because I've heard girls like to be asked that?
To lift the mood: Are you angry?

Ulrikke: Yes...

Gaute: You're not mad?

Ulrikke: No.

Gaute: I think she looks a little angry.
It's been nice to have you here! Nice to have gotten to know you a little better.
Know things like that you want to feel good?
Wooo! Thank you so much for watching!
Ulrikke, we toast as the credits goes down. This is what you usually do at the end.
Ehm, ehm, ehm... yeah!

- Why did we not learn more about diabetes at school?

- I myself have believed in several myths about diabetes, says actor Iman Meskini.
She is the host when TV3 marks World Diabetes Day with a separate broadcast about diabetes. Iman herself wants to represent both the inquisitive, the young and those with a minority background.

- I was very happy when I got this assignment, says 24-year-old Iman Meskini, best known as Sana from the successful series "Skam".

On November 24, she leads the TV3 program "Deat Diabetes - the fight for life".

Iman is in many ways quite different from her famous character. While Sana is associated with a scowling look and a sarcastic pull around her mouth, not many seconds pass between each time Iman shows you a wide smile under sparkling eyes.

Power of action and speech gifts, on the other hand, are two characteristics that Sana and Iman seem to share. Iman talks enthusiastically about most topics, including the diabetes case - although she admits she knows little about the disease.
- I know a lot of people with diabetes, but have no one in my immediate family. My first encounter with diabetes was as a child, at home visiting my best friend. It was summer, and her father was wearing shorts. Suddenly, before dinner, he pulled up a syringe and drove it into his thigh. I made big eyes and asked my friend afterwards why he put syringes in himself. But eventually I got used to the fact that this was normal, and something he had to do to stay healthy.

Seeking knowledge about diabetes

Now Iman herself will talk about diabetes in the program "Beat Diabetes - the fight for life", which is shown on TV3 on World Diabetes Day at 20. Iman will be one of three presenters from Norway, Sweden and Denmark, respectively.

- When I got the job, I started reading up on diabetes and was surprised at how much I did not know. Why did we not learn more about diabetes in school? I discovered that I myself have believed in several myths that I have now clarified, such as that type 2 diabetes is something you get just because you eat too much sugar. I also did not know that the diabetes numbers were so high and that more and more young people are getting type 2. I see it as a social responsibility that we all understand better what diabetes is, says Iman.

She describes herself as generally curious and knowledge-seeking.
- Knowledge is power, and through knowledge one crushes prejudices and myths.

Will be a voice for minorities

In her research on diabetes, Iman also came across information that some ethnic groups have a greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes. With her father from North Africa, she immediately became curious. "Does this apply to me? Are there any tests I can take to determine if I have an increased risk?".

Then, as a young woman with a minority background, she began to feel a sense of responsibility.

- I have many young followers, maybe I can reach minorities who otherwise would not search for information about diabetes?

This is not the first time Iman has felt responsible for being a bridge builder and representing the groups she herself identifies with.

- Representation is extreamly important to me. That we should have diversity on the screen, that everyone should see someone with whom they feel they have something in common.
Many ask me why I wanted to be an actor. Then I have to answer "I did not want that!". Iman follows up the last admission with a little laugh, before she more seriously explains that becoming an actress never felt like an option when she was growing up.

- I never saw girls like me, girls with hijab, on TV and film. That's why I grew up thinking "No, well, then it's not for me", says Iman as she shrugs a little dejectedly.

First program manager assignment

In other words, it was purely coincidental that she once got the role of Sana Bakkoush in NRK's groundbreaking webseries "Skam", which was seen all over the world. In 2015, Iman worked as a volunteer for the Anti-Racist Center and had written some articles and posts. Skam creator Julie Andem became aware of these.

- She was looking for someone who was actually a Muslim to play Sana, so then I was called in for an audition. My mother said, "What do you have to lose? Just try!".

And before Iman knew it, the course was set. Now she firmly believes in being carried away by chance. She still experiences having fewer roles to choose from than other actors. That is why she and her husband Mourad are working together on a TV series idea where young Muslims are the main characters.
Iman is also relevant with the podcast "Har du trua?", where she and her friend Ida Shirazi discuss what it is like to be young and religious in today's Norway. Iman has also been in "71° north", she has been on the panel of "Nytt På Nytt" and she has handed out prizes on TV shows. When we meet her, she comes from a conference assignment for IMDi, but she still has the benefit of directing a show broadcast on national television.

- This will be my first job as a TV presenter. It is big. I both rejoice and dread!

See "Beat Diabetes - the fight for life" on November 14 at 8pm GMT on TV3/Viaplay/Viafree.

Iman Meskini: "Makeup is fun and something I enjoy"

With perfectly dark red lips, she became known as Sana in the Norwegian hit series Skam. Privately, 24-year-old actor Iman Meskini puts more makeup focus on the skin and eyes. For KICKS, she tells which beauty favorites are hidden in her makeup bag.

Hey Iman! How are you affected by wearing makeup?
- I feel good when I use makeup, but I also often go without. I like to put on makeup on the days I have a little more time in the morning. Makeup for me is fun and something I enjoy.

What beauty heroes do you have in your makeup bag?
- Bronzer is definitely a must in my makeup bag! The days when I do not fix a full look, I still want concealer, a little bronzer and mascara. And I always have to bring a lipbalm!

Do you have any favorite products that you buy again and again?
- Yes, Sensai Total Finish Foundation, which is a fantastic powder foundation that covers well, lasts a long time and is easy to carry in your bag during the day.

What does your everyday makeup look like?
- Hmm... I probably focus mostly on the skin, and vary different ways of highlighting the eyes, and sometimes the lips.

Do you like to experiment with makeup?
- I wish I dared to experiment more with makeup, but usually I stick to some safe looks that I know how to get perfect.
But I love to be made up by others and to then try completely new colors and styles, it's super fun!

How do you take care of your skin?
- I try to take good care of my skin. I clean and use moisturizing creams every morning and evening - and always sunscreen during the day!

What is the latest beauty discovery that made you feel "WOW"?
- NYX concealer! I have been using it every day lately and I have to say that it is great.

What is beauty for you?
- Beauty for me is how you are as a human being on the inside - your thoughts and values, how you treat everything and everyone around you.

Three Wishes For Cinderella (Official Trailer)

Iman (24) and Amina (35) are hijabis: - It's not just throwing a cloth over your head and going out the door

Some are never as visible as when they hide something. As hijabis, Iman (24) and Amina (35) are used to people staring at their shawls - for better or worse.

- It sounds very easy to "just put on the hijab", but it is not just to throw a piece of cloth over you head and go out the door, laughs Iman Meskini (24).

Hijab refers to norms within the Muslim faith. The Arabic word hijab comes from the hajaba, "to hide". The term is used both for a scarf for Muslim women and a common term for covering Muslim clothing for women and men.

Iman Meskini (24) and Amina Louragli (35) are two of many young women in Oslo who cover their hair and necks, according to Muslim norms. They are hijabis. Now they talk about everyday life as hijabis: About being greeted, feeling strong - and about bad hijab days and combining fashion and faith.

- It is a form of common understanding that you should cover everything except face and hands, but it varies how you practice it. You have different trends, cultures and preferences. I really enjoy what many people think is a conservative style, says Iman.

By that she means that you cover everything except hands. This does not mean that she does not experiment with different colors and fabrics, but she does not want this to compromise her faith. On the table in front of her are shawls in different colors and qualities; crepe, chiffon, polyester, black, white, pink. Iman has close to 40 different hijabs.

- If you want to be a little superficial, then I would say that the hijab often adds a touch to the outfit, a bit like a piece of jewelry, says Iman and smiles.

In the series Skam, Iman played the role of Sana. It was the first time a hijab-clad woman played a prominent role in a Norwegian drama series, and the hijab received a lot of attention. The "Sana style" has later become a term among TV-watching hijabs.

- In TV productions you usually have hair stylists, but there are not that many hijab stylists. I brought a lot of my own style into the series, she laughs.

Although Sana primarily went for one style, Iman has several variants she alternates between.

- I have several different styles I vary between, everything from simple that works well to training, to styles that require a little more work. I like to vary between different colors and fabric qualities.

- My absolute favorite is jersey fabric, which is a little heavier and which stays good even if it is windy or you are active.

Iman says that she usually chooses an outfit first, and then she finds a shawl in a color that suits her. Mood, temperature and what she should do also come into play. She often uses lighter fabrics and lighter colors in the summer. If she is going to training, she wears a sports hijab from Nike.

- It sounds very easy to "just put on the hijab", but it is not just to throw a piece of cloth over your head and go out the door, laughs Iman Meskini (24).

It's not just about "throwing it on":

- Bad hijab day is definitely a thing, she laughs and explains:

- Sometimes you have days like this where none of the styles work, the colors are wrong and everything just looks weird. I often end up changing outfits.

Iman started with hijab in 5th grade, then it was a very simple 2-piece hijab, without needles or any tying. In middle school, she began testing different forms of knitting techniques and varying more colors and fabrics.

- There was a very big focus on me wearing the hijab. People commented on how I looked and how other hijabs were dressed. You become very self-aware of it, says Iman and adds:

- You think a lot about what you look like, when you get so bewildered. I am very concerned about looking good, and often think that it can help the hijab case a little: I feel a little responsibility to break with the image the media has created of us, and show that you can look good and wear the hijab at the same time .

- But honestly, I would have liked to not have felt that way, it would have been incredibly digg to actually just be able to throw on the hijab and go out the door without thinking anything more about it, she says.

Iman recently completed a bachelor's degree in Arabic, and spent the exchange period in Jordan. The trip to Jordan was a revelation:

- It was very nice to be in a country where everyone had a relaxed relationship with wearing the hijab. Then I did not think much about what it looked like.

Another thing she became aware of was how huge a difference there is in the selection in the shops. For the first time, she could walk into a store, where she could wear all the clothes. Where the dresses do not have split or short sleeves, or half the store is for shorts and T-shirts.

- When I walk into a store here in Oslo, I walk right past most of it. The last time I went shopping with my husband, he was shocked at how I dealt with it. You sort of scan the store, and exclude everything you can not use. Then you are left with only a small part, and then you can start choosing what you actually like. In Morocco, I went for the first time into a store where everything was customized for me, she says and adds:

- It made me realize that it is not the hijab that limits me, it is society that is not adapted to us with the hijab.

- The selection in Norway is very limited. This is a problem, because it is actually about participation in society. When I bathe, I use a burkini, but there are only two types in Norway and none of them are particularly nice. This means that you do not feel like bathing very much, and the fewer people who bathe with a burkini, the more you are greeted when you actually do it. And then the barrier to swimming among people becomes even higher, she says.

- It will be a vicious circle, where many just stop swimming.

Even in Oslo, where several thousand women - and men - are hijab, Iman experiences that she is noticed. People stare, ask and confront.

- I show my faith, and it seems that someone takes it as an invitation to confront me and demand that I respond to completely personal things. It can be quite uncomfortable, people can ask about very private things, and almost expect me to answer.

- The hijab is part of my identity, and I would like to keep it, but it is demanding.

Iman says that she has been to photo shoots where the photographer or stylist has asked her to show a little more neck, or pull the hijab further away from the face. Iman looks at me:

- Most people would react if a photographer had asked another young girl to undress more, or show a little more cleavage. It is the same when someone asks you to change or remove the hijab, she says.

Iman knows many who have felt pressured to adapt the way they wear the hijab to a more Western norm, or taken it off completely. Now she hopes that more visibility of hijabis, through social media, on TV and in popular culture, will make it easier for hijabis in Oslo:

- It is important for me to show that you can do fashion without pushing your limits, she says.

- The hijab makes me very strong.

While it's tough to always be an eye-catcher, and she can often feel the pressure to take it off, it's not an option.

- The hijab makes me very strong. You become very confident in your own faith, when you are constantly confronted with it. I get a very conscious relationship with it, and my belief: I get up every day and make a choice to put it on, she says.

- The hijab has taught me patience, and to tell when things are not ok. To let you know, when people step over your boundaries: I do not ask you to understand it, but you must respect it.

If you would like to watch the episode in which Iman is in, CLICK HERE.
I do have to tell you though, it's in Norwegian and as far as I could see, you can't choose any subtitles except for Norwegian, so keep that in mind if you watch it!

Herman Tømmeraas talks about Ragnarok on Netflix and much more!

Carl Martin Eggesbø: "I want to be honest and visible"

Carl Martin Eggesbø won "Kompani Lauritzen", and plays in two new norwegian films. But he will never be forgotten as Eskild in "Skam".

Companyrecuitment 9 Eggesbø became one of the Lauritzens five company hunters and could take on the yellow beret the week before the finale. On the day of the finale, he finished first and won this year's Kompani Lauritzen and became "the best version of himself".

- It has been incredibly fun to be a part of, even though it has also been demanding and tough. I have met many people, and I have never regretted it, even though at times it was difficult to remember why I had agreed to join. I have learned a lot about myself, about my own body and my own mind, says Carl Martin Eggesbø who has never been in the military.

- I enlisted for first-time service and most wanted to be a paratrooper or naval hunter, but I did not have good enough eyesight. So it became folk high school for me instead.

Eggesbø went from being in a fog fight to becoming one of Lauritzen's five company hunters a few episodes later.

- Things can very easily turn around. What I thought was very beautiful about the Kompani was that we are so different. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. In the beginning, it was emphasized that I am individual. I do not completely agree with that. I also carried the backpack of the other participants and was concerned with community. So they have cut a narrative, but I think they have done a good job of cutting anyway. To tell the truth, I was impressed by how much focus there was on teamwork through the program, says Eggesbø who thinks it is good that TV2 had such a complex team.

With the TV celebrities Vegard Harm and Morten Hegseth, they were a total of three open gay participants in the second season. Harm had to leave Setnesmoen camp after a fog fight with Eggesbø. The following week it was Hegseth who had to go home after losing to Ulrikke Brandstorp. It was tiring for everything, but in the end it was Eggesbø who ran away with the victory.

- I remember well when we were to be part of the blasting after a vigil in the forest. I was so exhausted that I got sick afterwards and had a violent night of fever with sweating. Then I was not so keen on being filmed 24/7, and was glad I had just been elected corporal and could sleep in a solitary room.

"There are no heterosexuals who are asked to come out of the closet, so why should I do it", Eggesbø told SVT Edit in 2017. In the intervies he says that he was stopped on the street and asked if he is "gay for real" after NRK-success "Skam". There he played the role of the tough gay man Eskild, who out things in perspective when Isak came out of the closet in season three.

- It almost seemed as if people thought it would be a greater achievement to play that role if I had not been gay. But I'm not Eskild, and no one asks Noora if she's heterosexual in reality.

He has previously felt that he did not fit into stories where heterosexual love is the norm. At first he thought it was complicated, but today he thinks it's nice to be who he is.

- I think we absolutely need all kinds of queer role models, we need all kinds of role models. And it is not the case the there is only one type of queer role models, there is a wide range. People are people, and queers are as different as the rest of the population. We who are queer today, take advantage of the fact that the battle other have fought before us, and our battle we also fight for others than ourselves, and for those who come after us.

Eggesbø says that he has never had any need to define himself.

- I do not really use the word queer so much, but I remember one moment in "Skam" which I unfortunately think was cut out. During the Christmas celebration in the collective, Linn and Eskild stand and look at the Christmas tree, and she wonders if it is not a little crooked. He thinks it depends on the perspective. He who is crooked thinks that the tree is straight, while she who is straight thinks that the tree is crooked. We are all queer, it depends on the perspective. For me, I'm not queer, I'm just me, says Eggesbø.

He has not experienced that openness has had negative consequences, neither for him privately nor as an actor.

- I have heard stories about others who have experienced it more problematic, but I want to be honest and visible, and it is a choice I am comfortable with.

That he liked boys bettet than girls was something he gradually realized throughout his upbringing.

- It was not like it was clear to me from the first moment. I have chosen to stay open, explore and find out who I am and who and what I like. Now it is clearer to me, but I still find it difficult to establish that one is one or the other. I think there is a wider range of sexualities. That's why I'm a little double having to define myself as gay. In a way, you put a label on yourself that can be reducing.

His big breakthrough in "Skam", Eggesbø remembers that everything went very fast. He was auditioning and filmed the first scene in less than a week.

- It was a head start on my acting career, and I got a role where I could play a lot. Eskild is braver than me and more sassy. He is a little more rude too and dares to stand up for what he means, in that sense he inspires me. There is something in me that's similar to him, but he's tougher.

He believes that part of the success of "Skam" is due to the fact that the series takes young people seriously.

- We got to help shape the characters and were a fantastic team. And I must say that Julie Andem has written an absolutely fantastic script, I loved working with her.

In season three, when Isak comes out of the closet, he tells Eskild that he is not that "homohomo" and will not go into gay pride just because he likes Even. Eskild replies that "I think that before you have taken the fight yourself, before you have dares to stand up for who you are, then you should be damn careful about talking and rising abouve gay pride".

Eggesbø obviously agrees with Eskild.

- We need Pride, both as a historical celebration, an awareness of today's struggles and as a celebration of diversity. It is important to remember that others have taken the fight before we struggle that we have reached where we are today.

After "Skam", in the autumn of 2016, Eggesbø entered the Norwegian Theater Academy. Since graduating in 2019, he has worked in both theater and film. Until the beginning of June, he has played in the show "Bjertnæs, Lygre" at Trøndelag theater. He is also relevant in two new Norwegian war films, both of which will have their Norwegian cinema premiere on Christmas Day. "The greatest crime" is based on the book of the same name by Marte Michelet. Here he plays Harry Braude, the youngest son in the Braude family, a Norwegian-Jewish family from Grünerløkka where four of six family members were deported and killed.

In "Kampen om Narvik", Eggesbø plays the male lead Gunnar Tofte. The film is about the biggest battle on Norwegian soil ever and the first battle on Norwegian soil during World War II in 1940.

- Both were demanding roles, and even though there are two very different films and roles, it happened at about the same time and during the same war. I am very interested in history, and even though there is peace in Norway now, it is important to remember that it has not always been like this. We should not take peace and freedom for granted. It also applies to queer rights, that we do not take it for granted, but remember that it started with the first Pride parades in New York in the 1970s.

Tarjei will star in a new horror film

In February 2022 you will be able to watch the new horror movie "Possession" in cinemas all over Norway.
Tarjei will play one of the leading roles named Oscar.

What the movie is about:
"The year is 1918. World War 1 is coming to an end, and the Spanish flu is ravaging. A pastor returns home to his family in Norway to start a congregation, after several years as a missionary in Madagascar. With the help of a local mining company, he starts the work of building a church, but the place turns out to be an old South Sami burial ground. When it is decided that the remains should be removed, an indefinable evil begins to haunt the settlers."

What SF Studios International are saying about it + comments from the director and Tarjei:
""Possession" is a magnificent account of faith and doubt in the time of the pandemic, and how the Sami were treated by the Norwegain society around the beginning of the last century. The film describes a tight and strict time, where we get to know the beating heart that strive to embrace their human nature, in a society that is far too cramped. In the center is a Sami girl who was adopted at a young age and is now being thrown out on an identity journey.

"Possession" is directed by the internationally acclaimed filmmaker Henrik M. Dahlsbakken, known for his genre film "Project Z" currently running in Norwegian cinemas, as well as the previous successes "Another Happy Christmas" and "An Affair".

"This project is close to heart for me, and undoubtedly the most ambitious I have ever done. The South Sami culture has rarely been potrayed, and in "Possession" we also explore a supernatural aspect. How we humans can find our inne flame in the face of oppression and injustice", says Henrik M. Dahlsbakken, director.

The lead actors are Norwegian star Jan Sælid and the 10-year-old debutant Eva Nergård from Tromsø. The main cast also includes Dennis Storhøi (The Heavy Water War), Benjamin Helstad (Kinf of Devil's Island), Nina Ellen Ødegård (Tottori), Alfred Ekker Strande (Blank, Lifetime), Ellen Dorrit Petersen (Blind, Thelma) and of course Tarjei Sandvik Moe (Skam, An Affair). The shooting took place in the Røros area in the Inland.

Tarjei plays one of the leading roles in the film and changed his appearance greatly for the role as a priest's son with inner demons.

""Possession" was a tough joy to record. A period horror with western elements, about the white man's oppression of indigenous peoples. There is a touch of Bergman and Ibsen in the visual combination of the realistic and the symbolic, the duality that exists in all the characters while the film has a tremendous entertainment factor. This is going to be epic!", says Tarjei Sandvik Moe, lead actor."

Adam Ezzari joins "Farmen Kjendis" 2022

Today TV2 announced the contestants for "Farmen Kjendis" (The Farm Celebrity) 2022 and Adam Ezzari, who played Adam in Skam, is one of them.

Here's what TV2 said about it + a comment from Adam himself about how it will feel to be away from his wife;

"Adam Ezzari is known to most people from the NRK success Skam, and more recently as the artist Ezzari.

Ezzari was originally supposed to be in the previous season of The Farm Celebrity, but the plans were changed. Now he is looking forward to a new and fun experience inside the farm.

In 2020, Ezzari got married. He admits that he feels a nasty feeling when he leaves his wife for potentially six weeks.

- This will be the first time I'm going away from my wife, so it's a slightly nasty feeling. Previously, we have only been three days apart, max. So it becomes a transition from being at home with each other almost every day, to not even saying hello on a daily basis.

Out of respect for his wife, he does not want to share a bed with other women on the farm. However, he does not think there will a problem with the other participants, but hopes to find a solution, if anyone should have objections to his choice."

Other than Adam, the other contestants will be:

  • Dorthe Skappel (58) - Host for God Kveld Norge (Good Evening Norway)

  • Shabana Rehman (44) - Comedian

  • Isak Dreyer (26) - Fisherman, known from Norges Tøffeste (Norway's toughest)

  • Niklas Baarli (32) - Host for God Kveld Norge (Good Evening Norway)

  • Kjersti Grini (49) - Former handball player

  • Ingrid Simensen (27) - Journalist

  • Vebjørn Selbekk (52) - Editor at Dagen.no

  • Sophie Elise Isachsen (26) - Influencer

  • Heine Totland (50) - Artist

  • Øyunn Krogh (25) - TV-personality

  • Jahn Ivar "Mini" Jakobsen (55) - Former soccer player

You will be able to watch "Farmen Kjendis" on TV2 in 2022. More information will be posted as soon as TV2 posts more about it.

Won Kompani Lauritzen - admits one big challenge during the recording

Carl Martin Eggesbø (25) ran away with the generous title after several tough weeks at Setnesmoen camp.

After three long and tough weeks at Setnesmoen rents in Åndalsnes, it was actor Carl Martin Eggesbø who ran away with the victory in Kompani Lauritzen - ahead of Linnea Myhre (31), Siri Avlesen-Østli (37), Jakob Schøyen Andersen (31) and Håvard Tjora (43).

At the finish line, all the previous participants stood and applauded the 25-year-old as first place was in the box.

- Right now I'm very proud. Very, very proud. It has been a rather special period with different challanges and a lot of good people. It will probably take som time before I actually realize that I have gone to the top, says Eggesbø.

It is a slightly measured, tired and cold company hunter TV 2 talks to over the phone shortly after the final.

- I'm tired now, I have to admit. It has been steady all the way. Every time you have reached the finish line, you move on to the next challenge right away.

- Right now I stan here soaking wet all the way up to the navel, because I have waded through a watercourse. So I am very happy, but also very tired and cold, says the actor, adding that he is looking forward to a hot shower and food.

The 25-year-old says that during his stay he has tried not to think too much, and taken one day at a time. He thinks it could be the winning recipe.

- It's something I have repeated many times for myself, and also loudly, and that is that I should not give up - and that I should not think about the things I could not do anything about.

- I have tried not to think too much, but just be present and do something with what I can do something with right here and now. And it has kept me going. When I have been tired and have not gotten to things. I still have to try and not give up, he explains.

The actor admits that at times he considered going home. But, not because the tasks have been too demanding...

- I'm a bit of a sadist on my own behalf, so I like that it's tough (...) I've been more annoyed, and have wanted to go home because I have found it provocative to be treated as I have become. Now I have become used to it, but in the beginning I think it was very difficult, he says.

In the seventh episode of Kompani Lauritzen, the participants had to go through BOB's house. Eggesbø reminisces back to the day he describes as his worst experience.

- It was simply a challenge where you got so tired that no matter how much you tried, you went for a bang. I managed to get through somewhat, but I have never been so tired.

In conclusion, the recent Kompani Lauritzen winner wants to thank the other finalists, and at the same time admits that there is one very special person he has missed at the barracks.

- I must say that I have missed Margrethe lately, because she was a joy spreader. There are very many I have missed who have had to leave us during the program, praises Eggesbø.

Margrethe Røed (44) smoked out in Kompani Lauritzen's fourth episode, after a fog match against Ulrikke Brandstorp (25).

- It has been a very special experience, so it will probably take some time to get on. Because now we are a family - now we are a company.

Iman and Cengiz on "Festen etter fasten" 14/5-21

If you turned your TV on to NRK 1 last night, you could see Iman and her husband Mourad cook some amazing food.

They were on a show called "Festen etter fasten" (The party after the fast) where they cooked their favorite food and celebrated Id al-fitr with nice music and nice people.

Iman and Mourad had a competition between each other about Couscous. Who makes the best couscous, a Moroccan or a Tunisian? Cengiz was the judge of the competition and he chose...... Tunisian! Iman won the couscous competition. Congratulations Iman!
Mourad said that he (Cengiz) only chose Iman because he was afraid of what the SKAM fans would say if he didn't.
Poor Mourad.. But maybe next time, Cengiz will choose him!

There were also other people on the show:

  • Amy Mir & Shanze Mir, known from the tv-show "Family chefs"

  • Cengiz Al, actor. Played Yousef in SKAM.

  • Vidar Bergum, explores food cultures of Turkey and Middle East

  • Delara, Norwegian singer. Made a cover on the song "Gunerius" by Karpe that became pretty famous after it was played in SKAM

  • Khalid Mahamoud & Ahmed Mamow, Khalid is a Norwegian actor and Ahmed is a Norwegian stand up comedian

  • Mahmod Isawi, youtuber

  • Turab Awan, Norwegian singer

  • Leo Ajkic, actor

  • Nawar Alnaddaf, singer

  • Jalal Alizada & Rasheed Dodokah, they make sandwiches (ice cream)

If you want to watch the whole episode, either search for "Festen etter fasten" on tv.nrk.no or find it directly on here: Festen Etter Fasten

You might need a VPN and I really recommend "Windscribe"

This is how Norwegian fashion personalities celebrate Eid

Iman Meskini: - Can't wait for the first taste of coffee in 30 days.

My family's tradition at Eid or Id has been to start the day by praying something called Eid prayer in the mosque in the morning, actor and influencer Iman Meskini tells Melk & Honning.

- Then I used to be with friends a couple of hours before it is dinner time. Around noon we have either used to go home to ours, or it has been common to either invite or be invited by family, friends, etc.

- For an Eid for me to be complete, it must include the Eid prayer and spend the day with the family.

Meskini says that the celebration will be different, like last year.

- We can not gather as many as we have been used to, and there will also be no Eid prayer in the mosque. But we will spend it with immediate family, eat good food and enjoy ourselves.

What she should wear is a bit weather dependent, she explains.

- But if there is a weather break, I will wear a long and nice dress that has been in the closet for far too long without being used!

Most of all, she looks forward to eating all the good food.

- After a month of fasting and focus on eating healthy and nutritious, I will not think about any of it at Eid, and not least I look forward to the first taste of coffee in 30 days.

Henrik Holm joins Zueva in her new music video

Cengiz Al plays a prince in the new Cinderella movie

Just like the title says, our very own Cengiz Al (played Yousef in Skam), will play the prince in the new Cinderella movie "Three Wishes For Cinderella" (Tre nøtter til Askepott).

He will also have a very famous singer next to him who will play the princess, also known as Cinderella. And that famous singer is Astrid S.
How cool is that though?! Cengiz and Astrid in the same movie!

The original movie is Czech and this is what is IMDB says about it:
"Life changes dramatically for a Czech housemaid when the house driver gives her three magical hazelnuts".

There's no trailer yet, but as soon as it's posted, I will post it here.
You can see some BTS photos in the photo slide in this post.

According to IMDB, Arthur Hakalahti, who played Kasper in Skam, will also be in the movie. He will play "Sami".
It also says that it will be premiered in November 2021, but none of the actors or producers have announced anything yet. So as of right now, that's just a speculation.

Will you watch it?

Fun Fact: Did you know that Astrid have been in one episode of Skam? She was in the last episode of season 2 at the party in Williams apartment. See if you can spot her the next time you watch it.

ImanTalks!

Have you ever wanted to talk 1:1 with a cast member? Like just talk about life and maybe get som advice.. Well now you can! Iman Meskini has started a new project called "ImanTalks" where you will get a 1:1, 30 minutes zoom call with her and there you can talk about everything from SKAM to religion.

This is what Iman herself says about the project:
"
I get messages from you and I read your comments everyday, but it would be so amazing to actually get to see you face to face for once! In these times many of us are home and have few to talk with, and that's why I am here right now. If you need someone to talk to or if you have something specific you would like to talk about, this is the place and I am the one."

It does cost money (65$), but it will be worth it.

To book a meeting with her for yourself or maybe for a friend, you can either write to her on instagram (Imanmeskini) or go on her website where you will also find lots of more information about ImanTalks. To get to the website, CLICK HERE .

"Kompani Lauritzen"-profile about a new project - Fake it till you make it

Carl Martin Eggesbø (25) has become one of the hottest actor-names in Norway. Now he is easing the veil on upcoming project.

When Carl Martin Eggesbø excels in the military regime, it is perhaps easy to forget that he is first and foremost an actor and not a soldier.

This year will have been watching both the cinema screen and the TV screen. Already on May 2, he can be seen in the drama series "Pørni" on Viaplay.

"Pørni" is described as a humor drama by Henriette Steenstrup (46). She is both a screenwriter and an actress, and the series has recieved excellent shots from her acting colleagues.

The 25-year-old is grateful to work with Steenstrup.

- I am very happy that I get to work with Henriette. I think she's really cool, smart and funny. She makes nice things. I cross my fingers for a season 2, so I can be in it even more, he says to Good Evening Norway (God Kveld Norge).

Eggesbø character is conductor in Steenstrup's choir.

- I'm simple and straighforward Rasmus, a choir conductor. I conduct the choir that Pørni sings in. He is a charming, quite ambitious amateur conductor, he says and continues:

- I do not really have a conductor background, but I have played in a corps until I was 12 years old, so I have seen some conductors. I have also received guidance from a conductor. I have stood in front of the mirror a lot and imitated. It's a bit like "Fake it till you make it".

Eggesbø is also relevant in film. He plays the brother of Jakob Oftebro (35) in the war film "The biggest crime" (Den største forbrytelsen).

This year he also appears in another film with action in the 1940s. He has the main role in "Kampen om Narvik", which premieres in December 2021.

The plot of the latter film is, as the title suggests, abour Hitler's first defeat.

The film is set to become the second most expensive Norwegian film ever produced and according to Visit Narvik, it has a total budget of over 75 million Norwegian kroner.

- I am very grateful that I was allowed to do so many cool things. I look forward to the road ahead.

Iman & Carl Martin will guest star in a new series

Iman Meskini and Carl Martin Eggesbø will be in a new Norwegian series called "Pørni" which will premiere on May 2nd on Viaplay.
Iman will only be in one (1) episode, while Carl Martin will be in two (2).

So what is "Pørni" about? Here's what Viaplay and IMDB writes:

"Families, frustration and satisfaction are themes in Viaplay's new Norwegian original series "Pørni". The drama comedy in six parts is created and written by the award-winning Norwegain actress Henriette Steenstrup, who also plays the lead role.

Pørni is about the dilemmas that you end up in when you, to the best of you abilities, try to do the right thing for your loved ones, and yourself. In that order.
Pørni has two daughters with a jerk of an ex who has moved to Copenhagen, who focuses mainly on himself. She has a father who is in some sort of teenage phase, and she has responsibility for her 15-year-old nephew, after her sister died in a car accident not so long ago. In addition, Pørni works in child welfare, where she likes the county laywer Bjørnar. Pørni is about being a complete person, in a normal, but challenging life.

The series is a tribute to everyone who does their best and juggles everyday life with children, work, family and friends."

Ulrikke Falch in a new drama series: - Very proud.

The "SKAM"-actor gets the lead roll in the Discovery-series

Discovery+ announces in a press release.

They continue to expand their catalog of original series. This production has brought with it, Ulrikke Falch, known from the successful series "Skam".

The series is Swedish-produced, and is scheduled to be recorded this summer, according to the press release.

The series doesn't have a name yet. But the main roles are played by Ulrikke Falch and the Swedish host, author, comedian and actor Clara Henry. Screenwriter and director is the series creator Lina Åström.

Falch says she got the role at the end of 2019. Which means she has been in contact with the production company for a couple of years now.

- I was in Stockholm last year to record the pilot episode, so I have already had the opportunity to meet Clara Henry who i'm playing against and screenwriter Lina Åström, and it really is a dreamteam. It also feels really good to get a role in a Swedish series! I'm so proud of that, Falch writes in a text to VG.

- I look forward to work with this project. I'm so happy to work with Clara Henry and breathe life in to Lina Åströms amazing script, Ulrikke Falch says, according to the press release.

Despite the pandemic, Falch says she has it "pretty good" during the day.

- Given the circumstances. I have a busy day with studies and work, but I am very grateful that I have a lot to do, in a pandemic that has affected us all in different ways.

"The series will be a mixture of humour and drama, and will put a "Generation Z-lens" on relationships and dating in todays Scandinavia. The series covers heartache, sex and dating - and a rather unorthodox plan for how to get over your ex with the help of Tinder", it says in the press release.

Clara Henry also comments on the news in the press release:

- I love all norm-breaking series, and it's a luxury to be a part of new ones. Ulrikke is also funny, kind and very professional. And Lina Åström is a genius as a screenwriter and director, she is sharp and always creates humor, she says.

Program director of Discovery Norway, Magnus Vatn, is very enthusiastic about the project, it says in the press release:

Over the past year, we have switched to a more Nordic organization in Discovery, and series like this show the advantage we have of also working across countires. The series is produced in Sweden, but with a Norwegian star in one of the main roles, and Norwegian Discovery+ viewers get access to it at the same as the Swedes. Then it will be very exciting to see what the fantastically talented three-leaf clover Ulrikke Falch, Clara Henry and Lina Åström manage to create together. I'm really looking forward to it, he says.
