FAQ
How do I register my child?
Please follow the "REGISTER" link at the corner of the website and follow the link to our Google Form.
The registration link says registration is closed. Can I still sign my child up?
No. Once we have reached maximum capacity for the event, we will not take any more registrants.
I haven't received a registration confirmation, is my child registered for the event?
If you completed the Google Form, you are likely registered! Your registration confirmation will come closer to the event date if you have not received it already. Reminder: This FREE event is run 100% by volunteers.
I signed up my two children, do they each need a chaperone?
No, you only need 1 adult chaperone for your party.
My child wants to go to this event, but I am unavailable. Can another adult bring them?
Yes! The chaperoning adult will sign a waiver on the day of the event, and does not have to be the child's legal parent/guardian.
Can I drop my child off?
No. An adult must be present with your child the entire time they are at the event.
Will food be provided?
Yes. A reserved time for lunch will take place. Lunch (hot dogs) will be provided for participants and their chaperones while supplies last. You are more than welcome to bring your own lunch.
How late can I show up to the event?
The event officially begins at 8:30am with a safety briefing. Check-in will begin at 8am and run until 9am. If you show up after 9am when the safety briefings have already taken place, you will not be permitted to enter the event, no exceptions.
I'm an "additional chaperone" or a community member and I want to help out at the event. How can I get involved?
Thank you! Please send an email to Director Bob Mroz at bobmroz.scsc@gmail.com
What should we bring with us to the event?
We urge all participants and their adult chaperones to wear sneakers! It's a good idea to pack: bug spray, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a hat.
My child is afraid of firearms, do they have to shoot a gun?
No participant is required to take part in any activity where they don't feel comfortable. However, we recommend at least trying each activity once! We want all of our youth participants to get the most out of this free event by trying activities they may not normally get the opportunity to in their daily life.
