We are always looking for highly qualified PhD/postdoc applicants with high passion in science and technology. The ideal candidates should possess some of the following experience: thin-film deposition, electrical-optical measurements, printed electronics/inkjet printing and multi-parameters physical simulation such as COMSOL Multiphysics.
For highly qualified PhD applicants, there is Hong Kong PhD fellowship scheme (https://cerg1.ugc.edu.hk/hkpfs/index.html). The university application deadline is typically early December 2025. For a chance to be successful in this scheme, mainland applicants should obtain their undergraduate degree from a 985 university with excellent GPA (at least 3.5/4.0). Foreign applicants should receive their undergraduate degree from an established university ideally with a world ranking inside top 300, exception can be made for top universities in countries do not have universities ranked inside top 300. In addition, candidate should have published 1-2 first author journal publications in SJR Q1/Q2 categories.
Highly qualified Postdoc applicants could be nominated for RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (https://www.ugc.edu.hk/eng/rgc/funding_opport/pdfs/). The candidate must receive his/her PhD within three years or is expecting to receive PhD before 31st August 2025. The university internal deadline is typically at end of August 2024. For a chance to be successful with this scheme, the candidate should have a PhD from 985 university for mainland applicants or university with a world ranking within top 300 for foreign applicants together with 2-3 first author journal publications in SJR Q1/Q2 categories.
