Undergraduate Students

If you are interested in  joining the Payumo lab, please fill out the "Undergraduate Research Application Form". Your responses will then be reviewed and Dr. Payumo will notify you via email if you've been selected for a follow-up in-person or virtual interview.  Please understand that the number of open positions are limited; therefore, decisions will be based on the individual goals of the applicant and how they align with our current research directions.

Students who are accepted  must enroll in Bio 180 (minimum 1 unit/semester).   During the school year, students can expect to spend about 5 hours per week on research-related activities, including a weekly lab meeting held Friday afternoons.
