Brave Software
Research Interests: Pervasive Computing, Applied ML, and Efficient ML
I am currently a Systems and Performance Researcher at Brave. I also hold a Visiting Scholar position at the University of Cambridge. Before joining Brave, I was a Senior Research Scientist in the Device Intelligence team of the Device Software Research department at Nokia Bell Labs in the UK. My research interests are primarily surrounding applied machine learning for mobile and ubiquitous systems. Currently, I am working on projects involving Federated Learning, On-Device Learning, and TinyML.
Prior to joining Bell Labs, I completed my Ph.D. (with an institute fellowship) at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where I worked under the supervision of Dr. Sandip Chakraborty and Dr. Bivas Mitra. During my Ph.D. I worked on mobile and ubiquitous systems with a primary focus on the behavioral dynamics surrounding human activities. I am an alumnus of the UbiNet Research Group and CNeRG.
