Brave Software
Research Interests: Pervasive Computing, Applied ML, and Efficient ML
I am currently a Systems and Performance Researcher at Brave. Before joining Brave, I was a Senior Research Scientist in the Device Intelligence team of the Device Software Research department at Nokia Bell Labs in the UK. I was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. My research interests primarily focus on applied machine learning for mobile and ubiquitous systems. Currently, I am working on projects involving Federated Learning, On-Device Learning, and TinyML.
Prior to joining Bell Labs, I completed my Ph.D. (with an institute fellowship) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where I worked under the supervision of Dr. Sandip Chakraborty and Dr. Bivas Mitra. During my Ph.D. I worked on mobile and ubiquitous systems with a primary focus on the behavioral dynamics surrounding human activities. I am an alumnus of the UbiNet Research Group and CNeRG.
