Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) is an Early College Graduation Program offered at St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic Secondary School (SJB) in Hamilton.
P-TECH is a partnership between high school, college and industry partners, enabling the student to earn both an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and a College Diploma, and gain valuable mentorship and industry experience along the way!
Over the course of their secondary school career, students earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a two-year Ontario College Diploma in Software Engineering Technician, and will be ready to begin a career (or continue further post-secondary studies) by the time they graduate.
While in the P-TECH program students will:
take regular high school courses required to earn their OSSD,
take paired credit and dual credit courses with a Mohawk College instructor and high school teacher required to earn a college diploma,
participate in real work experiences with our industry partners, including exploring various careers through internship, coaching and mentoring
SJB’s P-TECH program is primarily intended for interested and motivated students coming into Grade 9 from SJB’s Family of Schools, however, other incoming grade 9 students will be eligible.
