COLLEGE LIBRARY
The Library shall be open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days. On public holidays the library will remain closed.
Strict silence must be observed in the library.
Students are instructed not to sit on tables or desks and not to move about within the library.
Students should not damage or make any mark upon books or journals belonging to the library.
Application for the issue of books should be made in the prescribed card and handed over to the Librarian before 12 noon on the day on which the books are to be issued.
Reference books will not be lent out without the permission of the principal.
Each application form should contain names of 2 books out of which one will be issued to the applicant.
Books will be issued between 9.00 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. on week days, in order of priority of application.
Ordinarily only two books will be issued for a period of one week.
If a particular book is on high demand, the librarian can ask for the return of the book within the stipulated time allotted.
Before the books are taken out, each student should satisfy himself/herself that the books lent to him / her are in good condition and, if not, that fact should be brought to the notice of the librarian or his assistants.
All books taken from the library should be returned on the due date even when the borrowers are on leave.
Defaulters should pay a fine of Rs.1/- per day per book.
Those who return the books should see that the necessary entries are made in the issue register by the library staff.
Books taken out at the commencement of a vacation exceeding 7 days should be returned on the day on which the college re-opens after the vacation.
If the fines are not paid within a month after the due date no books will be issued to the defaulter, till he/she pays the fine.
Students shall not on any account sub-lend library books.
CD-Roms are only for the use of reference and not to be taken out of the library.
Internet facility in the library can be avialed by the students as well.
