We all have different struggles and conflicts we encounter in our daily lives, some of us cannot sleep at night and some couldn't see the light.
Catch-up fridays which sets aside a day in the school week to focus on improving Filipino learners' reading skills and enhancing their academic performance was implemented at Juan Morente Senior Memorial Pilot School (JMSMPS) with the supervision of Florife F. Llanto, Principal IV of the school. The students of JMSMPS were mostly SNED learners or Special Needs Education Learners, there are 55 male SNED leaarners and 29 female SNED learners which means there is a total of 84 different learning abilities that the SNED teachers tries to fill.
According to the principal, the said SNED learners is difficult to manage, "It's hard on our part to implement catch-up friday" she daid.
She stated that the activities that are done by the SNED learners should be appropriate to their needs and their capabilities for them to comprehend the knowledge being taught to them.
One might think that catch-up friday is only a waste of time and energy for students of this generation but, upon knowing the state of this SNED learners, this catch-up friday would not only aid SNED learners in their academic journey but also their capability and skills would be developed from time to time.
Our lives are built differently but that doesn't mean that our lives are worse than the others.
We must be responsible for one another and take every changes positively, for no man is an island and not just SNED learners need catch-up fridays, as we all need to develop and hone ourselves to be able to achieve success in our society that we crave for.
One's success is everybody's victory. We all need to support one another in order to grow as individuals.
Catch-up fridays can benefit all of us, we just need to embrace it as it approaches our lives.
