Thuli Buthelezi M.S.,BCBA, LBS

Thuli is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and Licensed Behavior Specialist through the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Thuli completed her Bachelor's of Arts in Liberal Studies at Rutgers University. During this time, she completed classes in Child Psychology, Child Development and Psychology as well as conducted research on interventions for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral disorders. She continued her studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she obtained a Masters in School Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. During her time there, she led the Autism Health Awareness Club where she helped spread awareness on the symptoms of Autism. In addition to being president of the club, she attended symposiums and seminars aimed at celebrating ethnic, cultural and social differences. Through her added studies, she attained a certificate in Cultural Competency from the college.

As a clinician, Thuli has worked as Registered Behavior Technician helping families in managing problem behavior and teaching fundamental adaptive skills. Part of her experience included a year long internship and semester long practicum in Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to that, Thuli worked as a nanny for a decade where she helped families from all walks of life with child care. During this time she gained first hand experience in child development by watching children reach their milestones. Thuli has also worked as an instructional assistant at an intermediate unit classroom where she supported a Special Education Teacher.

In addition to a strong clinical experience, collaborative attitude and a worldview, Thuli brings a hands-on approach to Siza. Thuli is passionate about making a meaningful difference to children with disabilities. She remains committed to helping families by providing efficient services that will allow for the best family experience.
