My name is Martin Daniel Siyaranamual, and I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Padjadjaran University, Bandung, Indonesia.
I completed my PhD in Economics at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy in 2014. I earned Master’s degree in Economics at University of Toulouse in 2007 and Bachelor degree in Economics at Padjadjaran University in 2005. I am an applied microeconomist with broad empirical interests. My current research focuses on understanding the role of religiosity on labour force participation and the impact of employment protection legislation on formal sector employment.
I have been involved in various consultancy works with national and international organizations. Currently, I am the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at the Secretariat of the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K), office of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, and my role includes: (1) Ensuring the sufficiency of workplan for major poverty reduction programs; (2) Coordinating/overseeing implementation of the workplan both externally with related ministries/local government and internally within working groups at TNP2K; (3) Providing technical assistance to implementing agencies; (4) Preparing Policy Inputs for the National Team; and (5) Monitoring and evaluation the implemented programs.
