Siwapong Dheera-aumpon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Kasetsart University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Ohio State University in 2012. He also received the Japan-IMF Scholarship for Advanced Studies in 2007 and completed his internship at the IMF in 2010. He then joined the Department of Economics at Kasetsart University in 2013. He was awarded the 2014 KU Research Star in the field of social sciences and humanities. His research mainly focuses on culture, corruption, and misallocation.
