If you want immersive, high-fidelity sound for stationary listening or a dedicated home setup, choose SIVGA SV021; if you need ultra-compact, high-performance audio that fits securely in your ear for active use or wireless neckband headphones for motorcycle scenarios where size matters, choose Kefine Klanar 14.5mm.
• SIVGA SV021: Offers massive 50mm drivers and solid wood construction for deep, natural bass and isolation, but is strictly wired and over-ear, making it less practical for movement.
• Kefine Klanar 14.5mm: Delivers rare planar magnetic performance in a tiny 0.2mm aluminum shell with easy driveability, yet lacks the physical bulk needed for passive noise isolation on its own.
• Best For: The audiophile who sits still to enjoy music (SIVGA) versus the rider or commuter who demands studio-grade detail without the weight of large cans (Kefine).
The SIVGA SV021 Pro is built for those who prioritize acoustic purity and build quality above all else. At the heart of these headphones lies a substantial 50mm dynamic driver, a size that allows for significant air movement and results in a soundstage that feels expansive and organic. The closed-back design is not just about blocking sound; it creates a sealed environment that suppresses external noise effectively while preventing sound leakage, which is crucial for anyone trying to get lost in their favorite tracks without disturbing others. This is particularly true when paired with the real beechwood ear cups, which are engineered to reduce unwanted resonance. Wood has natural damping properties that metal or plastic cannot replicate, giving the mids a warmth and the highs a crispness that feels incredibly realistic rather than artificial.
This product is ideal for the listener who treats music as an event rather than background noise. Whether you are sitting at a desk analyzing a complex jazz arrangement or relaxing in a quiet room after a long day, the SV021 provides a fatigue-free experience. The reinforced metal frame combined with soft, ergonomic ear pads ensures that even during extended sessions, the clamping force remains stable without causing pain. However, the trade-off is clear: this is a wired device designed for stationary use. You will not find Bluetooth connectivity here, nor will you find a form factor that works well while commuting or riding. If you need to move around, the cable length and the over-ear design become constraints rather than features.

Who should skip this? If you are looking for gaming headphones for motorcycle rides or any scenario where you need to be aware of your surroundings while wearing them, the SV021 is likely too isolating and cumbersome. The closed-back nature, while excellent for immersion, means you are completely cut off from the outside world. Additionally, the lack of wireless capability means you are tethered to your source device. This makes it a fantastic choice for a home theater or a dedicated music corner, but a poor candidate for a daily commute or a ride through city traffic. It is a premium tool for specific, static environments, not a general-purpose companion for life on the go.
The Kefine Klanar 14.5mm represents a different philosophy entirely: extreme miniaturization meeting high-end engineering. Most enthusiasts assume that planar magnetic drivers, known for their speed and detail, must be large and power-hungry. The Klanar shatters that assumption by housing a custom-engineered 14.5mm planar driver inside a housing wall that is only 0.2mm thick. This allows for a compact, ergonomic fit that sits flush against the ear canal without pressure points. The CNC-milled aluminum alloy shell is not just for show; it provides structural rigidity that minimizes vibration and ensures the internal cavity dimensions remain precise, translating to consistent sound delivery across every track.
What makes this unit particularly compelling for mobile use is its sensitivity and impedance profile. With a low impedance of 16 ohms and a high sensitivity of 105dB, the Klanar can be driven effortlessly by smartphones, portable dongles, or digital audio players without needing a dedicated amplifier. This is a critical advantage for riders who rely on their phone or a small head unit for audio. Unlike many other planar IEMs that require heavy amplification, the Klanar delivers professional-grade Hi-Fi sound directly from portable sources. The included hybrid Litz cable, blending OFC and silver-plated copper strands, further refines the tonality, offering warm lows and transparent highs that remain detailed even at lower volumes.
This product is perfect for someone seeking extra bass ear clip headphones for motorcycle adventures who refuses to compromise on sound quality. The secure, pressurized-free fit ensures they stay in place even during wind exposure or moderate movement. The detachable 0.78mm 2-pin interface adds longevity, allowing you to swap cables later if you wish to upgrade. However, because they are in-ear monitors without active noise cancellation hardware mentioned in the specs, they rely on the seal for isolation. While the tight fit helps, they do not offer the same level of physical sound blocking as a full over-ear cup. They are also purely wired, so you will need a cable management strategy if you are using them with a helmet or jacket. They are designed for the enthusiast who wants to carry a high-fidelity system in their pocket and plug in whenever they stop or need to focus.
• Best for Immersion and Isolation → SIVGA SV021: The closed-back wooden design physically blocks more external noise than the open-fit in-ear Klans, creating a private bubble.
• Best for Portability and Fit → Kefine Klanar 14.5mm: The ultra-thin aluminum shell and ergonomic shape make it invisible and comfortable for long periods, unlike the bulky over-ear design of the SIVGA.
• Best for Battery-Free Simplicity → Both: Both are wired, eliminating battery anxiety, but the Kefine requires no amp, while the SIVGA needs a decent source for its 45-ohm load.
• Best for Driver Technology Enthusiasts → Kefine Klanar 14.5mm: Planar magnetic technology offers faster transient response and better control than the dynamic driver in the SIVGA.
• Best for Warm, Natural Tonal Balance → SIVGA SV021: The wood ear cups provide a unique sonic signature that many find more "musical" and less analytical than the precision of the planar driver.
• Best for High Sensitivity/Portability → Kefine Klanar 14.5mm: At 105dB sensitivity and 16 ohms, it is significantly easier to drive from a phone than the SIVGA's 106dB sensitivity at 45 ohms.
• Best for Durability and Build Aesthetics → SIVGA SV021: Real wood and metal frames offer a classic, timeless look that ages differently than the matte black anodized aluminum of the Kefine.
• Best for Active Use/Riding → Kefine Klanar 14.5mm: Its low profile makes it the only viable option for wireless neckband headphones for motorcycle contexts where large ear cups would interfere with helmets or wind protection.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would choose the Kefine Klanar 14.5mm for my personal setup, especially if I were considering audio for riding. While the SIVGA SV021 is a beautiful piece of equipment with a rich, woody sound that is hard to beat for home listening, its over-ear design and lack of portability limit its utility in the real world. The Kefine, however, brings the magic of planar magnetic drivers into a package small enough to wear comfortably under a helmet or during a commute. It is the superior choice for anyone who needs gaming headphones for motorcycle safety or simply wants to hear every nuance of their playlist without being tethered to a chair. The ease of driving it from a phone and the secure fit make it the more versatile and practical investment for a modern lifestyle.
Yes, the Kefine Klanar 14.5mm is better suited for riding due to its compact in-ear design that fits under helmets, whereas the SIVGA SV021 is too bulky for that purpose.
While both are wired, the Kefine Klanar 14.5mm is much easier to drive directly from a phone due to its 16-ohm impedance, while the SIVGA SV021 at 45 ohms benefits more from a dedicated headphone jack or amp for optimal volume.
Both deliver strong low end, but the SIVGA SV021 uses a 50mm dynamic driver for deep, controlled bass, while the Kefine Klanar 14.5mm uses a planar magnetic driver for fast, impactful bass with greater detail.
Yes, the Kefine Klanar 14.5mm features a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin system for easy upgrades, while the SIVGA SV021 comes with a fixed cable assembly as part of its standard configuration.
