GAC 2023 - 8th Rose - Kingdom Level

This scroll was created on behalf of Zike McNasty for Lord Orcoso Woodensppon using a combination of mediums. There are several Easter eggs hidden throughout the image including several animals and the embroidered blackbird from Oso's hood so that te more you look at it, the more details you see.

The base image was created in Canva and then decorative elements were added using shimmery Gel and a gold paint pen. The heraldry and embroidery images were provided by Margaret du Nordmotte of Jade Hill and the remainder of the images were included as part of my Canva Pro subscription or from the public domain.

GAC 2023 - 8th Rose - Kingdom Level

This scroll was created on behalf of Zike McNasty for Baron Duran Cannon using a combination of mediums including Sculpey III polymer clay and Canva. Duran is a blacksmith and his company and household are both incredibly important to him so I wanted to make sure I included all of those elements in this design.

The bouquet contains eight white roses to symbolize the award and his household. The shield leaning against the tree stump is in his company's colors. The image for the stand was created in Canva and is meant to represent a workshop floor with decorative elements added in gold paint pen.

The wording was inspired by the poem "The Village Blacksmith" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and the background image is part of my Canva Pro subscription.

GAC 2023 - Title - Kingdom Level

This scroll was created on behalf of Zike McNasty using a combination of mediums for Barontex Dahlia Shutterhawk. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to work on this piece and though it's very different from what I originally envisioned, I still like how it came out.

This scroll incorporates elements of hand embroidery, painting, and beading to convey a feeling of whimsy and playfulness. Dahlia is always such a wonderfully happy person to be around so I wanted the feeling of joy they give others to be reflected in this scroll. No outside images or references were used other than Dahlia's scroll profile from Acha's Scribes of Polaris Facebook group.
