Volunteer

Many colleges and scholarship organizations expect that students will have volunteered for school and/or community service during their high school years. In fact, there are some scholarship organizations that look first at volunteer experience before looking at other factors. And of course, volunteering is rewarding and fulfilling, and it can be fun as well. Below is a list of opportunities in the Florence/Mapleton area to perform community service. It is generally considered better to volunteer focus on one or two projects rather than scatter your time among many different organizations.
