I am a Senior Lecturer@Researcher of Management Section in School of Distance Education, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. I completed my secondary education at St George Girls School, Pulau Pinang. Later, I obtained both of my Diploma in Accounting and Diploma in Management Accounting from London Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) in 1999. In 2004, I graduated my B.Tech (Hons.) Information System (Minor in Corporate Management) from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. In 2006, I obtained a Master of Business Administration (USM). Before completed my PhD in Strategic Marketing (USM) in 2014, I had an opportunity to assist a research group at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi.
I have a vast experience in corporate world. Before joining academia, I was attached to Seagate, METEOR Research & Consultancy (a subsidiary of Open University Malaysia), and Industrial Development and Renovation Organisation (IDRO) for various tasks - from developing and testing online library system, training needs analysis, developing corporate training modules, commodity procurement and supply, telemarketing and market research to handling customer service and administration. I am a member of Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM) (2014 onwards).
My main research areas are Consumer Behaviour and Sustainable Marketing. Specifically, I am specialising in Green Marketing, Green Consumer Behaviour, Corporate Social Responsibility, Muslim Consumers and Sustainability in Distance Education. I am also interested in research on teaching methods pertaining to areas which I mentioned. I have supervised over 100 final year students in their respective areas.
