Sit Happens Behavioral Specialists is the newest chapter in the lifelong journey of dog trainer and author Shari Murphy. With over 35 years of experience in dog training and rehabilitation—and as a three-time published author—Shari has dedicated her career to improving the lives of dogs and their people.

For more than 30 years, she led The PAWS Training Group, a respected name in canine training, until stepping away in 2022 due to health challenges. During her recovery, Shari explored other careers, but her heart always brought her back to what she loves most: helping dogs and supporting their families.

In May 2025, Shari launched Sit Happens Behavioral Specialists as her “second act,” bringing a fresh, modern approach to every aspect of her programs. Her revamped curriculum emphasizes follow-through, focus, and connection—helping your dog become more engaged, attentive, and reliable both at home and in the real world.

We specialize in individualized training for support dogs, offering comprehensive programs tailored to a wide range of needs—from Emotional Support to MS-specific assistance and more.
