If youโve ever built a site with WordPress and Elementor, you know how easy it is to drop in Font Awesome icons.
Nowโฆ try doing that in Google Sites.
๐ฌ Yeah. Not quite the same experience.Google Sites doesnโt have a built-in icon library.
So what do we do?Well, if youโre like me, you get creative.
And thatโs where Googleโs Noto Emoji font comes in.When I discovered Googleโs Noto Emoji font, it was love at first sight.Crisp. Clean. Scalable.
They donโt just look like emojis - they look like icons.ย

And unlike standard emojis, you can change the color and make them match your brand. Pretty sweet, right?The not-so-sweet part?Actually using them was a pain.
Hereโs the old workflow:
- Find a standard emoji somewhere.
- Paste it into the page.
- Highlight it.
- Change the font to Noto Emoji (if you could even find it).
- Repeat for every. single. emoji.
So I fixed it with new better workflow...
