Alumni Group


The HOPE Alumni Group is an open group for people who want to connect with others in sobriety. 

 

The group is run by grateful Graduates of the Problem Solving Courts of the 1st Judicial District and compliments and supports our Problem-Solving Courts.

HOPE planning meetings are the 1st Monday of the month at 6 pm 

at Holy Shephard Church 920 Kipling St, Lakewood, CO.

Our Mission: 

To provide an additional support system to help people through the stages of recovery.


Our Purpose: 

To connect clients with sober support systems and develop relationships with other recovering individuals, with the hope that this will allow them to continue to work on their recovery issues when formal treatment and court is complete. 

To provide opportunity to foster life skill development through social interactions with people who have common backgrounds and live a sober lifestyle. Open the connection to give back to community by participating in speaking or volunteer events, as well as feedback to court programs.


Functions:

1. Peer support for new and current clients of FIT and Recovery Court.

2. Transitional and ongoing positive, sober support for self.

3. Opportunity to speak to the community about FIT and Recovery Court.

4. Opportunity to volunteer at FIT and Recovery Court events.

5. Chance to impact change in FIT and Recovery Court by providing input to court team.

6. Plan sober activities for group members and active clients.

7. Participate in court orientations and graduations.


Responsibilities:

1. It is my responsibility to grow my recovery, because nothing else grows without it.

2. It is my responsibility to contribute to the health and well-being of my family.

3. It is my responsibility to contribute in a positive manner to my community.

4. It is my responsibility to be of service to alumni and others who desire a sober lifestyle
