In 2018 the team was featured in a Nova Scotia government initiative about local groups and companies that are helping to shape the future of our province.

In March of 2018 the team had the chance to attend a VIP event and meet Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield. This meeting with Col. Hadfield launched the team into the 2018/2019 FLL season and provided them the inspiration for their current achievements.

The girls have won several awards over the past FLL seasons.
